Dear diary,
Honestly I don't know how to start this. I've never written in a diary before which makes it even weirder because I'm eighteen years old. Anyways, I have a crush and he's my best friend.
I've liked him for a long, long while now but never told him. I thought it would end our friendship but then a few days ago I got the courage to tell him. I thought I was so ready, but boy was I wrong.
Apparently he had something to tell me too and I wasn't ready for it. He got a girlfriend! I was so heartbroken but I couldn't let him see that. I mustered the most realistic smile I could give him and told him that I was so happy for him. Little did he know my heart was breaking bit by bit, but, there isn't much I can do now so I'll just have to get along with her, for his sake. Well that's all for now.
