"That's impossible!" Damian shouts in disbelief.

The tone of his voice causes me to flinch back, and Lucien gently presses me against him as he shoots a glare in his direction.

"How about some food now?" he asks me, trying to change the topic but Beau quickly steps in.

"Luce... we need to talk about this." he tells him.

"How about I take her to the kitchen while you guys discuss this. Levi can fill me in later. Besides, I am the best cook in this house." Salem suggests calmly, as he made his way over to us.

"Alright...as long as you're sure you don't mind." Lucien replies, making Salem let out a small chuckle.

"Of course not. It would be my pleasure." Salem states happily, before holding out his hand for me to take.

"Come on, Angel. I'll whip you up whatever your stomach pleases." he tells me, and I give him a smile as I try to stop myself from blushing at the pet name.

I give Lucien one last glance, making sure he's good to handle this situation without me, before taking Salem's hand and letting him lead me out of the room.

He takes me down a long hallway that leads us to a set of large glass doors, and as soon as we step through them, I am taken aback by the large, beautiful kitchen before me.

"Holy fuck! This kitchen looks like it belongs in a Greek palace!" I exclaim, running my fingers softly along the white crystal countertop.

Salem chuckles as he walks to the other side of it.

"Not as beautiful as you, Angel, but I'm glad you like it. I designed the entire layout for our kitchen when we built the house. Now what can I get for you?" he replies with a smile.

"Hot chocolate with marshmallows, an option?" I ask.

"Of course, but I meant food wise." he retorts with a laugh.

"Honestly, I'm not very hungry." " I admit, and he gives me a soft smile.

"Maybe something light for a small snack? I have a coconut cream pie I had last night, or..." he begins to tell me, but I quickly cut him off.

"Coconut cream pie please! It's one of my favorites and I can't even remember the last time I had it." I say excitedly.

"That's funny, it's Levi's favorite too." he grins, before turning around and beginning to pull things out to prepare everything.

"You can sit wherever you like." he states, without looking back.

I slide onto one of the bar stools before continuing to make conversation. Salem was so kind, it made talking to him both easy and comfortable.

"Do all angels have this beautiful of a home?" I ask curiously.

"It's up to each individual and their personal preferences. We are blessed with the ability and money to create whatever we want, when we want. For instance, since all six of us decided to build a large house together to share, each of us played a role in designing different areas of the house. The only thing we all decided on together was the location of where to build. We all wanted somewhere far from everyone else with a beautiful view, and being right next to a crystal-clear lake in the mountains was the perfect spot." he replies, and I gasp.

"Wait! There's a lake here?" I ask, and he chuckles.

"Yes. If you go through the dining room, and go out onto the balcony, you will see it." he explains, and I grin at the sudden idea in my head.

"Or perhaps you could take me to go see it up close instead." I suggest sweetly, and he turns towards me with a playful smirk.

"Perhaps." he remarks.

He makes his way over with a small plate and large black mug and I grin excitedly at the sight of pie and large hot chocolate with a full layer of mini marshmallows on it. Just as I go to take a sip though, my eyes suddenly notice the large letter M on it.

"It's funny, I ordered a mug for everyone in the house with the first letter of their name and somehow accidently bought one with the letter M. I hadn't even realized until the package arrived, and we had the extra mug... guess destiny was trying to prepare us for your arrival." he explains, noticing my shocked gaze.

"No... I don't think so... because that would also mean that I was always destined to be here." I reply hesitantly.

"You most likely were." he states, but I shake my head as I suddenly felt sick to my stomach.

"No... because that would mean..." I begin to reply but stop myself.

He frowns at my sudden change in tone and makes his way around so that he's standing next to me. He gently turns me around to face as he takes both of my hands into his softly.

"Would mean what, Angel?" he asks cautiously, and I bite my lip before looking deep into his beautiful kind blue eyes.

"That I was always meant to kill myself..." the words leave my lips so quietly, but I know he hears each one as he instantly wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a secure and comforting hug.

"I had never even considered doing it up until that very moment. I had woken up that day, expecting to celebrate my 19th birthday like a normal, until I suddenly heard my parents fighting like never before. Within minutes, I realized they were fighting over killing me and how they killed my older brother! They manipulated me for years into believing that he had just been a figment of my imagination. Come to find out, my own mother threw him off the cliff we had lived on all my life. I knew my time was limited, so I climbed onto our roof and quickly realized I had two options... and I chose the one that left my life ending in my own hands oppose to my mothers. I knew the moment I hit the water, I was a goner. My parents had never taught me to swim. So, I jumped and wished to be reunited with my brother and instead ended up in front of three Greek Gods! Now here I am, living as a reborn immortal angel with special abilities. If this is really destiny and was always meant to happen... then that's just fucked up in so many ways. It just wouldn't be right. " I vent out, not even realizing the amount of tears that are pouring out of me.

"I am so sorry, Angel. This situation is fucked up, your right. I hate to admit that destiny has a terrible way of doing things this way... but listen to me..." he begins to tell me, as he gently cups my cheeks and tilts my head up to meet his eyes.

"You have all of us now, and I promise we won't let any more pain come your way. We will be by your side, just like we are for each other. You're one of us now and we always stick together and protect one another. You will never be alone in your troubles again. Do you understand? " he states with such sincerity and honesty, that I can't help but believe in every word.

"Yes." I reply softly, and he smiles before leaning in and placing a soft kiss to my forehead.

"Now enjoy that hot chocolate before it cools and get that pie into you and then you and me will take a walk down to the lake. Today marks the start of a new, bright, everlasting life."
