Bear Station
Y/n walked in a small gas station store, she was about 9 at the time. Her older sister Jennie was getting gas, while y/n went to buy some stuff at the store. She looked around and saw an older boy in a hoodie, she thought he looked very familiar. She walked near him while he was leaning down, she saw him put something in his pocket she tilted her head.
- 'I know I shouldn't but..Daniel needs to eat'
She looked back at him "Yeah you shouldn't" she mumbled. The boy stood up "Huh? How did you?" She raised a brow acting confused "What? You're the one who said it" he scratched the back of his head "Yeah I guess?" he walked away and the shopkeeper eyes him suspiciously "What are you doing over there?" Y/n looked at her "Just talking"
-'Strange little girl..it's like she read my mind'
She smirks slightly and crossed her arms, walking away. Y/n noticed a boy her age looking around the store also, she decided to talk to him "Hi!" She smiled widely at the boy "Oh hi!" He smiled back and looked at her.
-'She's really pretty! Like Lyla'
She blushed and chuckled, he covered his mouth "Did I say that out loud?" She looks at him and tilted her head "Say what?" He shakes his head "Oh thought I said something. Sorry" she nods and sees Sean pick up a Chock-O-Crisp.
- 'I guess I'll buy this one thing..for Daniel. Glad to see Daniel making a friend..'
"What's that?" She looks at it, the younger boy looks at her surprised "You've never eaten a Chock-O-Crisp?" You nod "Never. I'll try one today I guess" she smiles and he nods "You should they're really good!" The older brother hands her one and she smiled and takes it from him "Thanks. I'm y/n" Sean nods "Nice to meet you y/n. I'm Sean" she smiles and Daniel looks at you "I'm Daniel!" He says smiling "Nice to meet you both" she looks down at Daniel's hands, and noticed he was holding a power bear toy "Oh where'd you buy that from?" He looks at you "Oh! Over there" he points to the claw machine in the corner of the store. She nodded and walked towards it, she put a coin in. "I suck at these" you say and Daniel looks at you "I can win one for you if you want!" She nods "Sure" she steps back, he moves the claw, till he gets the right spot and then stops it. The claw drops down and and picks up a blue ball and drops it down. She smiled widely "Thanks Daniel!" She said, hugging him.
- 'She smells really good'
You look back and see your brother waiting on you "Oh sorry I gotta go! Hope I see you again Daniel! And Sean" she turned around and open the door and walk to her sister. "I see you've made a friend" Jennie smirks and y/n got in the car and chuckled "What's your boyfriend's name?" She blushed "His name's Daniel and he's not my boyfriend!" Jennie just smiled and drove off she saw Daniel walk out the store and she waved goodbye and he waved back. She smiled to herself and Jennie drives off, she smiled at Y/n "Have fun?" Her sister asks tilting her head, that rubbed off on y/n, she nodded smiling widely "Yeah it was fun.."
Years later, Arcadia Bay
Y/n was sitting down making an origami crane when her sister walked up to her. "Whatcha doing?" y/n jumped surprised "Hey! don't scare me like that!" Jennie chuckled "Alright, I'm going to a party, and no you can't come! Love you bye, make me a paper bird thing too..if you can" she says and y/n smiles and nods "Alright, love you too sis" she nods and walked out the door. Jennie never came back home... Jennie died in a car accident because her friend was drunk driving. Y/n couldn't believe it at all, she remembered feeling empty inside, the house felt empty inside, uncomfortably quiet everyday. Y/n kept the paper crane she had made for her, She even had to hear her arguing parents thoughts on top of that and it was much louder than their uncomfortable silence. It went on for years, Her sister was her everything, all she had. Her father blamed her for not telling her to stay. It bothered her, she was 9, how would she even know what was gonna happen. Y/n's mother became sick y/n didn't know what to do, her father started using her mother's medication and became..well not himself. He started to hit y/n she decided to pack her things one day and run off. She didn't wanna be there anymore, she did leave a letter to her mother tho. So she'd know she loved her, she was 9 years old she knew nothing about survival, but she knew she had to go. Y/n was now known that she was 'missing' by her father, weeks later she met a group, a group she could call her family, she met them while hopping on a train. They were confused on why she was there all alone at such a young age, they took her in as their own.
