Authors Notes: Hey everyone...someone...no one? Sorry I have been missing in action for so long; years. I'm writing this story for my sisters, Breanna and Taranika, because they're pretty much the only ones reading right now lol. Hopefully as the story grows so will my readers. My husband is also encouraging me to write more so here goes nothing. I hope everyone enjoys Chapter 8!
RECAP: Khalissa woke up from an explicit dream of her and Sam having sex. She tells Sam about it and he comes to see her later that day. After their initial encounter post dream, Sam leaves in a fit due to him and Khalissa both being sexually frustrated but not wanting to take things to another level between them. Khalissa spends a lot of time watching over Mark at the hospital while Tiff was working. While at the hospital she bumped into Blake (the guy from Spade that she was grinding on when Sam snatched her up). They exchange phone numbers. Later on that night Khalissa goes out with her sisters and their significant others (Bry and Kayla/Neka and Q). Blake tags along and he and Khalissa hang out some more. The next day after everything settles down Khalissa returns home to find Sam outside of her home after not seeing or hearing from him for weeks.

What is he doing here? This man is something else...how can he just pretty much ghost me and then come back like it's nothing. I'm not sure what kind of woman he usually deals with but I'm not with this.
I get out the car and lean on my driver side door. He gets out of his car and comes around the passenger side of his car closest to me and leans on his car. I wait for him to say something since he's the one that decided to show up out of the blue, uninvited. Minutes seeming more like hours pass by without either of us mumbling a word. I'm usually a very patient person but there's only so much unexpected silence anyone person can take.
"Sam, what are you doing here? Better yet, why are you here?"
"Ma, let's talk inside. Can I come in?"
"I'm not sure if I should Sam. Anytime I let you in things never end well."
"Come on Khalissa don't be that way. Let me in."
I don't answer him. Instead I just start walking towards my place prompting him to follow me. Once inside there's more awkward silence. I walk to the kitchen and grab us both a bottled water and sit down and wait for him to talk.
"Look, I really like you Khalissa but as I told you before I'm no good for you. The only reason I'm coming over here is to let you know that I'll be backing off for good. Nothing to do with you. I just have a lot going on."
I chuckle a little, "Okay, is that all you wanted to tell me? I figured as much. This is so cliché. The 'it's not you it's me' talk. I'm fine Sam, you can see your way out." I attempt to stand up to let him know that I'm done talking, but before I could even scoot the chair back to stand up Sam grabs my wrist forcefully but not too rough to hurt in order to keep me seated.
"See that's your problem right there ma'. Your first instinct is to run. I'm trying to be real with you and you getting all defensive. I'm trying to protect you. You don't want to know the real me. Think about it. There's a reason why Tiff doesn't want her friends kicking it with me."
I look him directly in his eyes and he seems to be sincere but I'm still angry. "First of all you don't know me enough to tell me what my problem is. My problem is little boys who claim to be grown men but not knowing how to grow up for a good woman---"
Before I could even finish my statement Sam interrupts. "Aye look, don't call me a boy, that's a form of disrespect that I will not tolerate. If you're going to keep that up I might as see my way out like you said before."
