You're Not Weak

Y/n's POV
"Babe, did you take your pill?" I hear Jade yell from the bedroom. I walk out of the bathroom to see my girlfriend unpacking her clothes into the little dresser I got her for when she stays over.

"Yeah, I took it while you were at your house grabbing your stuff." I replied. "I still think you should've gone with me. What if something happened when I was gone?" "But it didn't Jade. You were gone for like 10 minutes. I'm fine." I say, not wanting to get into a fight right now.

"Y/n, you gotta stop being so stubborn and let me help you!" Jade said. "Do NOT call me stubborn. And last time I checked, I'm letting you move in here for who knows how long."

"Oh, so you don't even want me here, is that it? That you have to let me move in here. I'm not even moving in. I'm staying here until you get back on your feet." "Well I'm not a baby, Jade. I can take care of myself!" I yell back.

"Well if your parents were here, they'd sure as hell call you stubborn. But they're not here, I am. And who's shoulder did you cry on when they died? Mine."

"Don't...you...EVER...bring them up like that!" I yell.

"Well it's true y/n! If they were here, you'd let them take care of you. And wether you liked it or not, they still would have done it. How come you won't let me help you? How come all of the sudden, we're fighting about wether or not you can take care of yourself. I just want what's best for you. I love you and you know that. I know you're not a baby but that doesn't mean you need to deal with this on your own!" Jade says, more calmly.

"Jade. I-uh. I'm sor-"

My vision gets blurry, my head starts to pound, and my body starts to shake. Then I was out cold.

I wake up on my bed.

"I seized didn't I?" I ask. "Yeah. I'm sorry I shouldn't have picked a fight." Jade says. "No, I'm sorry.  You're right. I guess I'm just humiliated. All this bad stuff keeps happening. You're so strong and I hate it when you see me all weak."

"Y/n, you're not weak. You're just going through a lot of shit right now. And if I can make it even a little easier for you, then that's what I'm gonna do." Jade says.

"You're right. I love you." I say. "We said clean slate and first thing I do is cause a fight." "Babe, it's okay. We're working on the fighting. We knew this would take work. At least we talked things out after them. We just need to work on doing that before it even escalated to a fight. We're okay." I reassure her. "Okay. You are absolutely right." She says. "Boy do I love hearing that." I laugh. "Oh shut up." Jade says as she nudges my arm. "And by the way, I love you too." She says, pecking my lips.
