Aeon's phone alarm beeped awake, alerting him that it was the next day. He slumped out of bed, nearly cracking his skull on the nightstand. He had shared one of the beds with Tokoyami, while Mina took the other one. Todoroki volunteered to wrap some blankets around himself on the floor and call it a night.
Aeon tried to get up from the floor and succeeded, dragging all of the sheets off the bed. Tokoyami tumbled out the other side, faceplanting into the rug.
"Nice wake up call," groaned Tokoyami. He had slept in his (night) cape, which was now tangled around his ankles. Mina slipped on a tank-top and ran toward the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.
"How much longer do we have?" asked Todoroki, rubbing his eyes from exhaustion. Aeon looked at his watch, his eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets as he realized they only had ten minutes to make it down to the lobby.
"HEY MINA MIND PICKING UP THE PACE?" asked Aeon loudly, his hair scattered all over his head.
"I don't see the rush," said Tokoyami, already ready and by the door. He had somehow gotten himself untangled and prepared during the argument. His hero costume consisted of a purple cape and a black jumpsuit underneath. Todoroki was the second one ready, his costume being a blue jacket with a metal plated combat vest strapped to it. He also wore saggy pants that almost went to his shoes.
Luckily for Aeon, he didn't have a costume because of his quirk, but he still wanted to be punctual. When Mina opened the door, she saw Aeon inches from her face, waiting to get inside. Her hero costume was a turquoise and purple bodysuit with acidproof shoes and a cropped waistcoat. They smiled at each other lovingly before Aeon realized the situation again and burst into the bathroom hurriedly. He combed his hair so fast that he thought his scalp might bleed, while his roommates all left without him.
"H-hey, what gives?" he growled, rushing down the stairs to meet up with them. He passed a steaming Bakugo, who seemed to be in a similar predicament.
"Wanna race, Tree?" he taunted, blasting himself forward with his explosives. Aeon wasn't worried about beating Bakugo here, as he could always beat him fairly in the festival.
Aizawa was waiting in the lobby with most of the students. Aeon was the 19th student there, out of breath from rushing. Aizawa shook his head at him, looking up the stairs for the final student.
"I'm here, Mr. Aizawa," said Hagakure, her costume consisting of a pair of gloves and shoes because of her invisibility.
"JEEZ, okay, that's everyone," breathed Aizawa, trying to hide his fright at that moment. Everyone loaded up in the bus and left, the stadium being only five minutes away.
Mina's phone rang as they left, and it was an unknown number. She chose to answer, and as Aeon was nearby, he could see her smile fall as the call went on for a minute or two. She then covered her mouth in sadness or fear, which Aeon could not decipher. She then hung up suddenly.
"What happened?" questioned Aeon. He had no idea what could cause a reaction like this so quickly.
"The man we fought in the alleyway, the one I sprayed acid on...he's dead. I killed someone," she whimpered, getting the attention of a few students.
"Mina, it's okay, it was in self-defense," reassured Aeon. She seemed to calm down after that, recalling how he had tried to kill Aeon before she had intervened. The call seemed to stick with her for a while, however, especially for the next couple hours.
After the bus arrived, everyone shot out just like at the hotel. They raced toward the stadium, blocking Class 1-B's bus from parking. There were many pro heroes scattered around the arena, most of them lesser known, but some of them were popular.
