Incinerated Objectives

The crowd eagerly waited for the last battle of the semi-finals, as it would be the second to last fight in the entire festival. Tokoyami was already positioned to fight, silently rehearsing strategies with Dark Shadow. 

"Hello everyone, sorry for the wait!" apologized a woman who stood next to Midnight's podium. "Midnight has fallen ill as of late, so I will be announcing these last two battles." 

Aeon recognized her from the stands, the long red hair immediately standing out. This was Akimitsu Eiichi, but without her genderless uniform on. She instead wore a pearl necklace around her neck, and a sparkling black dress that went to her toes. 

"The polls say that this battle is in favor of Dogen, but not by much, as he does only lead 54% to 46%. Anything could happen in this next fight, and I personally can't wait to find out!" 

Everyone seemed to dismiss Midnight's absence, but Aeon couldn't shake the feeling that something was horribly wrong. Seeing one of the students that looked much older than she claimed taking Midnight's place was very odd. 

Zafurste Dogen walked out of the waiting room with an insane look on his face. He kept scratching his arm, which was reddened in the center. Tokoyami noticed this, becoming more nervous afterward. 

"I'm gonna....I'm gonna kill you," slurred Dogen, a slight bubble of drool sliding down his chin. When the camera zoomed in on the two, Bakugo saw that his arm had a small hole near the red tint. "I'm very powerful now." 

FIGHT! 

Tokoyami knew that Dogen would defeat Asui, so while everyone else was watching the two opponents fight briefly, he took notes about Dogen's fighting style. 

He always started the battle by activating his chain quirk, which meant they would come straight toward him quickly. No one had been fast enough to dodge the attack, but at the same time, they weren't prepared. 

"Dark Shadow!" called Tokoyami, soaring into the air. He deflected all of the incoming chains with his ally providing a shield. 

"Impossible!" growled Dogen. He sprouted five more chains from his knees, attempting to catch Tokoyami by surprise. This failed horribly, as all of them clashed with Dark Shadow. 

"Counter!" he ordered. Dark Shadow pushed against the weapons, sending them back toward Dogen. One wrapped around his head, and the others fell to the ground. 

When Tokoyami went to fly overhead, Dogen leapt up higher than Midoriya had in his fight. Tokoyami nearly escaped, but his claw-like foot was snatched by his opponent. Three chains from Dogen's arm wrapped around Tokoyami. 

"How did he get so strong? What happened?" questioned Mina. Aeon stared at the struggle in horror, because Mina was exactly right. Dogen had been slowly improving from battle to battle, and now he seemed unstoppable. 

"I'VE GOT YOU NOW, FUMIKAGE!" cackled Dogen, once they were both grounded. He revealed his entire left arm, which had gone from average size to fairly muscular. He uppercutted Tokoyami in the beak, sending a sensation of violation throughout the student. 

Tokoyami always hated when anyone touched his beak, but especially someone like Dogen. When he looked into his eyes, he seemed much more mature and...older. Even if he had once appeared seventeen, that youthful aura was gone now. 

His true self was revealed to Tokoyami at that moment, starting from his face that resembled a drug addict, and ending at his hero costume, which seemed much more gloomy for anyone at U.A. 

"Nighty night, you bird brain bastard," he snickered, raising his fist once more. 

"Dark Sha-" started Tokoyami, but wasn't allowed to finish his command, the sudden punch to his pelvis stopping him forcefully.
