Saturday Morning

Ginising ako ng aking ina sa kadahilanang kailangan ko daw bumili ng bagong damit upang suotin sa gaganaping piging mamayang gabi.

“Katharine Anais Michell Mendes! Tumayo ka na diyan! Hindi mage-effort ang mall para dalhin sa'yo yung dress!” sigaw ni Mom mula sa likod ng aking pintuan.

Yeah right, it's my cousin’s 18th birthday today kaya special talaga ang araw ngayon. But still I don't want to wear a dress! I've got no choice, Mom made a deal with me. If I wear daw she'll help me with Dad. I want a pet but Dad wouldn't allow me to, so after hearing my mom's negotiation I agreed immediately.

I did my thing and after that nag-almusal na sa baba.

He's Elvory Alistair Sebastian Mendes, a 5th grade student. While sitting in front of me is my Kuya Rory Eldwyn Chase Mendes, he's in his senior year and this guy is smirking, meaning he's up to something.

“Give it back to me.” I said seriously and gave him my deadliest stare. He got no choice but to surrender. He grabbed something from the chair beside him, and it is my apple.

Umupo na si Mom sa hapag at kumain ng agahan.

There's sunny side up eggs, some scrambled eggs, oatmeals, milk and orange juice, french toast, pancakes with blueberries on top of it, don't forget the delicious maple syrup and of course our healthy dosage of fruits, apples, bananas and grapes.

Maraming pagkain pero hindi kumpleto ang pamilya, nagtataka ba kayo kung nasaan si Dad? Ako din eh.

Hindi namin kailan man alam kung saan siya nagtatrabaho, uuwi nalang yun dito paminsan-minsan. He's a serious and an industrious man. Cheating was never been on his dictionary. Pero minsan nagseselos si Mom sa wala, but Dad wouldn't leave Mom alone with her toxic thoughts so he'll do something about it and always made us feel that he really love us, not by spoiling us tho. One lesson from Dad is that you'll never get what you want without efforts. Bibilhan lang niya kami ng mga luho namin if we achieved something from the school or anywhere else.

After kumain ay nagpaalam muna akong dadaan ng shelter before going out to the mall to buy some stupid dress, hmm maybe papasabay na rin ako bumili ng bagong tees and sneakers, tapos new pair of boots!

I rode my bike, right outside the subdivision is a shelter for stray animals. I always volunteer here to assist the needs of this lovely creatures, and half of my baon were saved para i-donate ko sa kanila pambili ng pagkain.

It is always my dream to become a veterinarian, hindi naman talaga ako masyadong mahilig sa mga hayop noong bata ako but after noong accident na naganap when I was five years old, I started to love them especially dogs.

I was playing in our lawn when I stupidly decided to go outside since yung kuya ko and our nanny was nowhere to be seen, they're inside the house that time and Mom and Dad is at their work. Bukas ang gate kaya madali akong nakalabas, I was just wandering off outside not knowing the danger upcoming to me. A guy approached me, natatandaan kong nasa park na ako ng subdivision. He's a pedophile, and I still remember how sinister his smile plastered on his face look like. Of course I was scared but I didn't managed to utter a word, swiftly he grabbed me and covered my mouth and then suddenly a boy and his dog came and rescued me, the kidnapper was afraid of the dog but still didn't let me go so he ran. The boy was shouting for help while they chase the kidnapper carrying me. The dog jumped and bit the kidnapper so bad he stumbled to the ground. I was wounded, the hard cement scraped my knees and elbow. The boy grabbed me at nilayo niya ako from the kidnapper whom is being attacked by the dog. Fortunately dumating na yung mga grown-ups and the security guard of the subdivision.
