Ellie, Lottie and Jamie sat in a circle, on top of Lottie's bed, looking to Ellie who had summoned a meeting. "Just because Ingrid is gone, doesn't mean Leviathan is gone, they're still out there." Ellie says, fiddling with her stings on her hoodie. Lottie and Jamie nod, "they'll probably be a little weaker as she did have the best intel on us" Lottie continued. "We need a plan" Ellie adds, slapping her hands down on her thighs, looking too her two friends sitting opposite her. "Shouldn't we just get police involved? Ellie, we're supposed to be protecting you from danger not putting you in it" Jamie says. Ellie groans "Can we not say that, I want us all to be equal o-" "but we're not" Jamie buts in, "don't say that" Ellie says. "Plus, getting police involved won't cut it, they don't know as much as we do, in fact, it will put us in even more danger if leviathan find out we've got police involved." Ellie fights back. Lottie silently listens to the conversation. She didn't want to say anything, she didn't want to take sides, she was silently thinking of a plan without them.

"Ellie, we can't put ourselves in any more danger, Lottie's still on medication because of the last incident" Jamie sighs, worried for their safety. "Leviathan came to our palace and did that, what makes you think that isn't going to happen again? We need a plan to stop them!" Ellie argues, annoyed at Jamie and Lottie for not helping, not seeing what she sees. "Ellie! Stop being selfish and putting us in danger, do you see how tiring it is?" Jamie fights back. Ellie gets furious, shouting back"it's all you're guys's fault, actually, before Lottie came I was having a mighty time and all this is because of Lottie!". Lottie looks at Ellie. She didn't know what to say. Was this really what she had thought? Without looking either of them in the eye, she left the room, leaving them in her room.

Was Jamie really fed up with having to fight leviathan with them? She could see where he was coming from, they were tired, but he didn't need to thrash out like that. She didn't know where to go so she went outside, into the palace's gardens. Ellie thought this was all her fault. Was it? Lottie leaned against the stone wall over looking the river. Just when she thought they were getting somewhere, just when she thought they were going to get a plan to stop this. It all falls apart.

Jamie sat in horror at Ellie. Ellie sat, opposite Jamie, not looking him in the eye. "Jamie.. I.. I didn't mean it" she stammered, hating herself. "Of course you didn't, because it was not true" he replied, anger clearly in his tone. "She didn't need that, she's just come out of hospital after saving you, show her some gratitude" he added, getting up to go follow Lottie. "Hey, you think I don't feel like that, I feel left out, I feel like all this is because of me and you just threw this on me yet again, are you really tired of fighting leviathan? Fine leave us to fight them off, leave us to it" Ellie shouts, joining Jamie, stood in front of the door. "Ellie, we're all tired of leviathan, I didn't mean it like that, just generally tired, don't you dare go off fighting them without me" Jamie said, getting agitated at Ellie's temper.

Ellie couldn't handle his gentle, perfect tone, making her seem like she was moody so she grabbed the nearest object, Lottie's clay vase she had made with Binah in pottery class, And threw it onto the floor. A huge crash filled the room, shards of clay spraying onto the floor, both Jamie and Ellie jumping back. "Ellie, you need to calm down" Jamie growled, looking at the mess on the floor. "You're not in charge of me Jamie" Ellie replied, smashing her fist against Lottie's mirror, causing a crack to appear down the very centre. Her emotions she'd thought she'd handled with songs were spilling out. Her anger towards leviathan, her jealousy of Jamie and Lottie, the guilt that this was all her fault.

Lottie let out a cry, propping herself on the stone wall as she wiped away her tears. Her curled hair blew around in the harsh wind, the skirt of her dress blowing around her ankles. She looked up, over the garden, her eyes glossy from her tears. She was putting this place in danger, it was her fault the owners of the castle could be hurt. Ellie had thought this all along.

Ellie looked around at the room, at Jamie stood in the doorway. The anger that had been blinding her quickly left, her vision on the broken vase scattered on the floor, the cracked mirror on the wall. "What have I done?" she whispers, sinking to the floor, ashamed of herself. "Ellie, are you ok?" Jamie asks, slowly walking towards her. Ellie looks up with glossy eyes "leave me alone, I don't deserve anyone's pity right now" she replies. Jamie sighs, sitting down next to her "it's not your fault Ellie, leviathan just decided they wanted the princess, they didn't decide that, because of you, they were going to attack us". Ellie looks at Jamie "But I got Lottie to play that role for me, they're going for her instead of me". "Nobody knew this would happen, Lottie is a good person, she will cope, and she's not alone, she has you" Jamie replies. "You're right" Ellie replies, knowing Lottie was as capable as anyone.
