Harry Potter-Malfoy smiled contently as he curled into his husband's side, watching the wood in the fireplace crackle under dancing flames. He rested his head on Draco's shoulder with a sigh as the rain outside beat down against the windows of their comfortable little house.
They had been married for nearly two years already. The thought made Harry's heart flutter in his chest as he looked up into the eyes of his lover. He watched the colorful flames dancing in Draco's eyes, and silently wished he could stay in this moment forever. His husband flashed him a crooked grin.
They had been together since their sixth year at Hogwarts and had stayed thick as thieves ever since. When they graduated, the two had bought an apartment together until they could afford a more permanent residence.
Harry smiled at the memories from those years at school, remembering how vile he and Draco had been to each other. He sighed, allowing a comfortable quiet to settle over the both of them again.
"What's on your mind?" Draco asked after another moment of silence.
"Oh- nothing important," Harry shrugged. "Do you remember our sixth year?"
"Don't remind me," he groaned. "Of course the one party I went to had to be the one they played that stupid game of Truth or Dare-"
"That 'stupid game of Truth or Dare' is the reason we're sitting here together," Harry interjected. "And frankly, I thought it was fun."
Draco raised his hands in defeat, "You got me there- I don't think I'd ever have gone out with a bloke otherwise- let alone you."
"Thanks."
"Oh, I didn't mean it like that and you know it."
Harry rolled his eyes before leaning back into Draco's side, kissing his cheek. "Whatever gave your friends the idea for a dare like that, I'm glad they did it."
The blond man couldn't help but smile. "As am I."
Potter sighed as he closed his eyes, slowly starting to drift to sleep. In his half-conscious state, he began to feel the memories shift into more of a dream.
He smiled subconsciously, letting sleep- and this dream-like memory- take over his mind.
