A wicked smile tugged on Pansy's lips. "Let the game begin- I'll start. And remember, everyone: this is wizard's truth or dare. If you refuse to answer a truth or perform a dare, the magic will make you." The Slytherin female looked to her Gryffindor counterpart and winked. "Hermione, truth or dare?"
Hermione sat up straighter. "Truth."
"What's the strangest place you've been caught snogging?"
Mione cast a sidelong glance at Ron before her brows furrowed in contemplation. "Erm... oh! Dumbledore's office."
Everyone turned to her in shock. Ron looked confused.
"But, we've never-?" He started slowly.
"Okay, moving on!" Hermione said in a shrill voice, clearly trying to sound excited about asking the next T or D.
The girl pretended to look around the circle, her eyes landing on Luna.
"Lovegood: truth or dare?"
"Dare," the blonde girl said in her sure-but-airy voice.
"I dare you to attempt to turn on any player of your choice."
Luna's attention was immediately turned to Ginny, who sat back with the ghost of a smile on her lips. The blonde crawled across the circle to the redheaded girl, leaning in close to her ear and whispering something that made her cheeks flush red.
Everyone watched as she continued to whisper and Ginny continued to go redder and redder until her whole face was almost as dark as her hair.
Harry felt his eyes being drawn away from the scene everyone seemed to enticed with. Instead, he found himself staring at Draco. The pointed expression on the blond boy's face didn't make Harry look away.
He examined the sharp features carefully, taking in every inch of that jawline and those cheekbones. He paid especially close attention to the bluish-grey of his eyes; the way the lighting in the room seemed to catch in them just right.
It took Harry a moment to register that those striking grey eyes were looking directly at him.
"Oh," he said out loud, looking away, only to find that Luna had returned to her seat and Ginny looked horribly embarrassed. He couldn't help but glance at Draco once more, only to find those grey eyes were still watching him, a lazy smirk playing on the corners of pink lips. Harry swallowed the lump in his throat, looking at his lap as Luna picked her victim for the game.
And so that was how it went for a while. Luna picked Neville, Neville picked Ginny, Ginny picked Seamus, Seamus picked Dean, Dean picked Pansy, and Pansy picked Blaise.
The next choice would determine Draco and Harry's fate forever- not that either of them knew that.
Harry was so caught up in thoughts of those stunning grey eyes he didn't realize that Ron had leaned in next to him.
"A bit odd that we're the only two that didn't get picked yet, eh?" He whispered.
The green-eyed boy shrugged. "I don't think so."
Blaise took his time examining each and every person in the circle, making sure they were all uncomfortable before he finally pointed at Malfoy.
"Draco," he announced dramatically.
"Oh, Merlin," the boy-in-question sighed.
"Truth or dare?"
Draco's eyes narrowed as he watched Blaise suspiciously for a reaction. "Truth."
Zabini smirked. "Would you-"
"Wait," Malfoy said quickly. "I change my answer- dare."
Blaise looked even happier now. Pansy covered Draco's mouth before he could object.
