Keira Herrmann is the eldest Herrmann child despite her father not wanting her to she joined the fire academy to be a firefighter like her father because she had wanted to since she was a child hearing her fathers stories.
After completing the course at the fire academy she is placed at firehouse 51 as there new candidate but the situation is awkward because her father is still mad at her for choosing a dangerous career especially when Keira gets trapped and ends up getting burns that could endanger her life.
