11-I'm back

I took a bus down to my Dad's house cause I could not deal with my mom. I took out my key and opened the door.

"Hey...hey...how y'all doing?" I said trying to be funny

"Brielle." 

He walked to me and hugged me tightly.

"Oh my goodness I couldn't sleep while you were gone. Are you ok?"

"Yes Dad I just needed a bre-"

The out of nowhere the police barged in.

"Did this man kidnap you?" One asked

"No are you dumb, I just came back to my Dad's."

"So where were you?" 

"The movie theater with some friends."

"You were reported missing." 

"I know, and I'll be reported missing again if I have to go back to my mom."

"You can stay here until they make a final decision."

"Bet."

"The judge said she will have a decision made by tomorrow." He said looking at dad

"Ok thank you." Dad said

They walked out and Dad sighed.

"Don't ever leave like that again alright?!" 

"Ok dad and I only left because of her. I love you and want to stay with you forever."

"I know, I know. I'm just happy your back ok?"

"Alright."

"Come on let's get something to eat."

"Bet. I want chick fil a." 

"That's exactly what I was thinking."

We laughed and went to the car.

The next day

I had to go back to school so now I was putting my stuff in my locker.

"Hey G." Jahseh said

I sighed and said

"Hi."

"You know you was spotted hanging with Conner and Andre!"

"Yeah...why?"

"Do you know them?"

"Nope I met them at this place why does it matter?"

"Cause they both went to jail for two years and they got out like 3 days ago."

"W-what'd they do."

He sighed and whispered in my ear.

"They beat up this girl and raped her. And they was 16 at the time"

"Well I don't even talk to them anymore so, I think I should be fine."

"They don't even go to school no more so they could still be out there doing the same shit."

"I don't walk home anymore so I'll be ok." I said walking to class

"Promise me you'll be safe about this and that you won't talk to them anymore."

"I promise Jahseh."

"Good."

I walked away and went to my next class. All I could think about is what the judge will say, if I go back to my mom's place, I'm killing myself point blank period. I don't care. There was nothing but anxiety inside me today and it made me lose focus in class, and while I was talking to friends.

A1 Dad's house

"So what'd they say?" I asked

"Gabrielle..."

Tears started to well up in my eyes.

"You have to get all your stuff from your mom's house cause you living with me!" He said excitedly

I quickly smiled and hugged him.

"As for this big accomplishment, we going on a cruise for spring break!" 

"Woah!" I said in awe 

"Yup, I'm the best Dad ever I know." He said flexing

"You do too much." I laughed

"I know."

"Can we go get my stuff right now?" I asked

"Yeah."

We got in the car and we arrived at my mom's house.

"You should come with me so we can rub it in her face."

"Nah, I'm an adult I don't rub things in people's faces."

Then I looked at him sideways.

"...Alright fine let's rub it in her face!" He said quickly getting out of the car

We walked to the door and knocked. Then she answered the door with a cigarette in her mouth.

"You don't live here no more." She said about to close the door

"Yeah but I still have to get my stuff."

"What stuff I paid for everything." She said

"Nooo, Dad gave me money and I went to mall and bought my stuff so if you'll excuse me I'm getting my things." I said walking in

Then she pushed me out.

"No. You not allowed to be here."

"Girl if you don't-" I started but I cut myself off by running inside 

I ran into my room and locked the door. I quickly grabbed my suitcase as I heard her trying to bust in. I packed everything I could. I put all my shoes (which were mostly vans) in the box and I slid open my window. I threw the boxes out the window and then my suitcase. I was about to jump out when she busted through the door. She saw me and ran over to me. I quickly jump and I could here her yell but I was running with my stuff to Dad's car.

"We gotta go!" I yelled

He got my stuff and put it in the back. He got in the car and sped off.
