He who is called Ace

"Woah!! I'm taller than you!" We heard when walking into the gym. I looked inside and there was this guy with a little bleached part of his hair in the gym.

The others walked in but I stayed by the door just observing. Apparently this tiny little short guy was the 'Guardian Deity of Karasuno' also known as Nishinoya. They then went on to talk about the Ace of Karasuno. I didn't even know we had one of those. After all, I was the one who looked the most like an ace. 

"Hey. Who are you?!" Shouted Nishinoya at me. The others looked at me and back at Nishinoya until I finally spoke up.

"I'm Hasegawa Hisato, Nishinoya Sempai." I decided to lay on the flattery thick with him since the others decided to make bad first impressions. And it worked really well. His eyes got all sparkly and he looked so excited.

"I'm going to buy you a grape Popsicle after school today. Since I'm a good sempai!" He told me and I shrugged.

"You really don't need to. I should watch my intake on calories anyway. I have to get strong enough to block and blast through anything. Next year of course when we actually need an ace. We have an amazing one right now." I said and Nishinoya smiled so much when I said that. I've actually never met the ace, but it really made Nishinoya think good of me.

"KIYOKO!" yelled Nishinoya trying to tackle her. He was of course slapped in the process though. They talked about some other stuff before it was time for me to head to my first class.

I was in Tsukishima's class since we actually studied and retained the information. And imagine my surprise when I was packing up for lunch and saw Kageyama and Hinata standing outside our classroom door.

"What do you two want now?" I asked them and they flinched. Apparently they did not see me come out. Which should be fairly hard to do since I'm 6'3.

"Uh, we were going to go see the Ace and was wondering if you could come with us." Stuttered Hinata. I knew exactly what they were doing. They wanted some muscle to protect them just in case.

"Why would I do that. For all we know, he gets really intimidated by guys with my build. And you should do it by yourself. Yes I am curious, but you guys can put on your big boy pants and do it yourself. I have to get to lunch." I said as they deflated. They were really depending on my apparently. They left to go to the third year class area.

"Lunch? More like talking with your boyfriend." Scoffed Tsukishima coming out of the classroom. 

"At least I actually told the person who I like that I was gay." I scoffed back. I went outside to sit at the picnic table. I looked over and saw a hoard of girls giggling. From what I heard, most of the school does not know that I'm gay or have a boyfriend. I didn't really care, but apparently some of the girls did. I looked at my phone and there was no more texts from Osamu other than the good morning conversation we had before school started.

"H-hasegawa?" Asked one of the girls coming up to me. I think she was on the track team but I wasn't sure.

"Hmm?" I looked up from my lunch. She had shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. She also had her tie thing loose. She looked kind of like a girl version of Oikawa. She obviously didn't have his confidence though.

"W- will you go on a date with me?" she asked looking down. I looked over her shoulder and saw that the girls were either cheering her on or were glaring her down.

"I'm sorry, I'm already going out with someone. But if those girls give you a hard time because I rejected you, just tell me, ok?" I asked her. I did not like it when people bully other people because they were rejected. It made the whole thing sting way more.

"Oh. Ok." She mumbled and shuffled back to her friends. Some laughed at her but quickly shut up when I did my pinpoint glare at them. Because they also did not have a chance with me. One of the girls who was friends with the girl turned and glared at me and stormed over.

"How dare you?! She has been crushing on you for age and finally worked up the courage to ask you out and you just basically told her to tell you if she got bullied after rejecting her in the middle of the courtyard!" She yelled at me. I had no idea what was going on. I thought I let her down pretty easy. Maybe my monotone voice threw her off.

"What should I have done?" I asked her calmly, "I don't like her that way and did not want to lead her on. I told her to tell me if she got bullied for being rejected. I know how that feels and it's not nice. What should I have done?" She was shocked. I don't know why, but she was.

"I don't know. But who's your girlfriend. You told her you have one and as far as I can tell, you've never liked any girl in your life!" She yelled we were drawing a crowd by know and when she said that Tsukishima bursted out laughing.

"Yeah, that's the whole point. I've never liked a girl in my life. I'm gay and have a boyfriend from Inarizaki High. It's not that she didn't have a chance, it's that the entire female population didn't have a chance." I said and there were gasps and some looks of disgust. She was shocked and couldn't stop stuttering. The bell rang, "I'm sorry, but I have to get to my next class."

The entire school was gossiping about me but I didn't really care. I mean, it should stop me from getting confessions from girls now. Maybe Tsukishima can actually come out now. I mean the volleyball has already known for like a week. If my friends don't treat me bad then I don't really care.

I was heading to practice now when I saw a guy with a big build and beard. He was barely shorter than me. He was watching Hinata and Kageyama's quick.

"Impressive, right?" I said walking right next to him. He startled a little but then went back to watching them.

"Yeah, kind of makes me miss it." He said. I nodded knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"I'm guessing you're the ace. I saw some footage of you playing and you were amazing. You just need to get out of your head." I said he was about to respond but then Daichi came up to him, "Well I'll take my leave now, Ace."
