The Adventure of Sharkboy, Lavagirl, and Wolfgirl (OC insert)

Chapter 7

Val's POV

We walk out of the ship and see what looks to be a theme park in the distance.

"Recognize your dream world, Max?" Lavagirls asks Max as we walk.

"Not really. I feel like I should, but I just don't." Max answers.

Lavagirl then looks at me.

"Do you remember how to turn back into Wolfgirl, Val?" Lavagirl asks me.

"No, I don't." I say as I shake my head.

"It's affecting them too. I thought they would just remember." Lavagirl says to Sharkboy.

"Remember what?" Max asks, not understanding what he needs to remember.

"Your dreams. This planet? Us. Your powers." Sharkboy answers.

"I have powers?" Max asks them.

"More than any of us. Don't you know that? Everything that is or was, began with a dream. And you dreamt us, Max. Us and this whole place." Lavagirl explains.

"I did?" Max asks amazed.

"Every dream you ever had landed right here on Planet Drool." Sharkboy tells Max.

"Why is it so dark?" I ask them as I look around.

"The planet is dying. It began yesterday. What's the calculation, Sharkboy?" Lavagirl asks Sharkboy.

Sharkboy takes out a shark device that has a timer on it.

"45 minutes till the darkness destroys Planet Drool." Sharkboy answers.

"We didn't go to Earth to save you, Max. We need you to save Planet Drool. And help Val get her powers back." Lavagirl says to Max.

"But how?" Max asks.

"The Dream Lair is on the other side of the planet. That's where your dreams are going bad. We have to go there and reverse it." Sharkboy starts to explain.

"We have to travel through the Passage of Time, catch the Train of Thought, swim down the Stream of Consciousness, and skate across the Sea of Confusion, now covered in ice." Lavagirl finishes for Sharkboy.

"Why'd you do that, Max? Why'd you freeze the ocean?" Sharkboy asks angrily.

Lavagirl walks over to Sharkboy and burns his arm.

"Ouch!" Sharkboy yells in pain.

"Max didn't mean to do it. Did you, Max? Max is a good boy, otherwise you, Wolfgirl, and I would be evil, and we're not evil. I'm not evil, am I, Max?" Lavagirl asks Max.

"I don't think so." Max answers.

I just shake my head and sigh.

"That's why we brought you here. To put things back in order. We just have to stay positive. It's not the end of the world." Lavagirl says.

"Not yet, it's not." Sharkboy says a little quietly, but we were still able to hear him.

We suddenly hear thunder from the distance.

I turn around and see dark clouds coming towards us.

"The darkness! Run!" Sharkboy says as he starts running.

"You don't have to tell me twice!" I say as I run ahead of Sharkboy.

"This is like a bad dream!" I hear Max yell from behind me.

"Oh, yeah? Just wait till you meet Mr. Electric! He's the worst bad dream yet!" I hear Sharkboy yell.

I was confused on who Mr. Electric was, but I brushed that aside.

I stop running when stand on a metal platform.

The others stand an the platform after me.

The platform starts to move, which causes me to lose my balance and almost fall off the platform. But luckily Sharkboy grabs my arm before I can fall.

"Thanks." I say as I gain my balance.

He nods in response.

We are now traveling through the theme park.
