The Adventure of Sharkboy, Lavagirl, and Wolfgirl (OC insert)

Chapter 9

Val's POV

We walk up to a robot that was facing away from us.

The robot was looking at a screen that shows the kids running away.

"Keep play! Never stop! Games and toys and laughs and fun!" The robot says to the kids.

The robot then turns around to face us.

I was surprised to see that the robot had a screened face that looks like Mr. Electricidad.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Skarkboy and Lavagirl. What are you doing halting my endless-fun coaster and infiltrating my lair?" The robot asks them.

"We don't need permission from you." Lavagirl says to him.

The robot then looks at Max and I.

"I don't believe we've met. I'm Mr. Electric!" The robot, known as Mr. Electric, says to us.

"Why are you bringing misery to our planet? You're supposed to be running it." Lavagirl says.

"'You're supposed to be running it.' I am running it. Right into the ground. Those are my orders." Mr. Electric says.

"And who ordered that?" I ask in confusion.

"No schools, no discipline, no rules. And, most important, no dreams." Mr. Electric says.

"Dreams can destroy you, can't they? My instincts tell me that is so." Sharkboy says aggressively.

"Oh, really?" Mr. Electric asks sarcastically.

"That's why we have to stop you." Lavagirl says as she points to Mr. Electric.

"You and what army?" Mr. Electric asks before plugs start appear behind us.

This was going to be hard.

"Now?" Sharkboy asks as he stands in front of us.

"Now." Lavagirl says.

Sharkboy jumps high up to one of the platforms and fought a few plugs.

Max ran off, so I went to follow him.

A few plugs cut me off and I didn't know what to do.

On instinct, I punch the head of the plug and punch a few more. I was surprised I was able to do that.

I was able to run off and find Max.

I look ahead of me to see Max pulling on one of the plugs.

The plug that Max was pulling, rose up and started to chase Max, who was running in my direction.

I run next to Max, but I stop when I see that the plug couldn't go any further.

"Keep going, Max!" I shout to Max as he keeps running.

I look back at the plug to see it connect to the other plug next to it.

The plug turns on and starts to chase after me.

I start running as if my life depended on it.

There was a crash noise behind me, and I turn around to see that Sharkboy steps on the head of the plug and smashes it.

"Internal radar, shark-like reflexes..." Max says as he walks up to us.

"Your amazing!" I say in surprise.

"I appreciate the compliment but is it enough to defeat Mr. Electric?" Sharkboy asks me.

"We have our secret weapon, remember?" Lavagirl asks Sharkboy.

We all meet up in front of Mr. Electric.

"Did you actually believe you could stop me?" Mr. Electric asks us.

"I know we can't. But he can. Take it away, Max." Lavagirl tells Max.

Max, not knowing what to do, puts his hands into fists as if he was getting ready to fight.

"Show him what you're made of, Max." Lavagirl says.

"What am I supposed to do?" Max asks in confusion.

"I told you this would happen." Sharkboy whisper-yells to Lavagirl.

"I thought he would just remember." Lavagirl whispers back to Sharkboy.

"Remember what?" Max asks them.

Out of nowhere, Mr. Electrics hand grabs Lavagirl.

"The dream. Remember the dream." Lavagirl answers.

"I don't remember half my dreams. That's why I write them in my dream journal." Max says as another hand grabs Max's leg.

A hand then grabs Sharkboy by his fin and another grabs me by my waist.

We are now lifted into the air.

"What half of your dreams do you remember?" Sharkboy asks Max.

"This one I remember." Max says.

"Where are you taking us?" Lavagirl asks Mr. Electric.

"Where all useless dreams go. To the Dream Graveyard!" Mr. Electric answers before dropping us into a giant hole.

It was now dark.
