This was not your proudest moment.
You both climbed onto the ride, Rainbow assuring you it'll be alright.
And the ride began.
It started off slow, just rocking side to side. Then it began to spin.
"Oh god...oh god..." you muttered.
Rainbow glanced over at you. "Don't worry, you'll be fine! I'll make sure to keep you safe."
That calmed you down a little bit. But not enough to make you calm down completely. Your knuckles were white from clutching the safety bars so hard. Your eye were wide and you were breathless.
And then Rainbow 2.0 reached his hand over, placing it over yours. They softly brushed their thumb across your knuckles in an attempt to calm you down.
It backfired.
It caused you to hyperventilate for a few moments, your face turning red. But after a little bit, it really did begin to calm you down. You felt safe. You felt that you could actually enjoy the ride, now that you were certain Rainbow was there to protect you. And you know what? Maybe you laced your fingers together. Maybe you stayed like that for the rest of the ride, smiling softly. Maybe you both felt safe, and secure, and...happy.
But who am I to know?
