Ding Dong
I quickly ran down the stairs, jumping down on the last three steps. But mom beat me to it, she opened the door. "Sweetheart! What brings you here?" My mom asked him.
"Oh, just here to pick up your daughter." He said, casually. My mom gasped, and put both her hands on her mouth.
"My gosh, both of you are dating?" Mom looked from him to me.
"You can say that." He replied with a shrug.
Mom wrapped her arms around him. "Both my favorite two kids in the world are dating! Wonderful!"
I just rolled my eyes, and tried to pulled them both away from each other. "Alright alright. We gotta leave now. Bye mom."
"Goodbye, Mrs Moore. I'll come here more." He said, waving and winked. My mom laughed and waved at the both of us.
"Bye Cabby! Goodbye Jack!" Mom said.
After we got into the bus, we stood together side by side, holding the handler. "So... you're Jack?" I asked, still didn't know his name.
"Yea, Jack Anderson. And you're Cabby Moore?" He asked.
"Well, yea." I replied.
We didn't say anything after that. More people got into the bus, some got out. The bus had gotten crowded after the next stand. We had to squeezed together, each other.
Suddenly, I felt a hand sliding up my thigh. I gasped, scared. I mean, it happens all the time. Should've asked my mom for a ride, forgotten again. Shit.
"Mister, can you take your hand off this young lady here? There's a pole behind you to hold." And the hand stopped moving, everyone looked over to us.
Mr. Anonymous got embarassed and got off on the next stand quick.
I laughed.
"What you laughing at? You're stupid, you should've done something about it." Jack said.
"Sorry. It's just, no one ever stood up for me like that before." I replied, wiping the tears that slipped out from my eyes when I was laughing.
"Geez, you got to learn to protect yourself. Luckily we met, huh?" Jack replied, with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes and pushed him playfully. "Whatever."
Then, the bus suddenly brake and I felt hands wrapped around me. I was shocked and quickly moved myself away from the hands.
"Hey. If you don't wanna fall down or get molested again, then come back within the circle."
I chuckled, and squeezed back into the so-called circle. "This is not a circle, you know." Jack just gave a shrug.
Soon, we got off and walked to school. It was nearby the bus stop.
Jack snatched the books I got in my hands and carried them. "There, I'll help you."
"Got 'em from your sister again?"
"Shut up. She's just helping." Jack said, and walked ahead. I chuckled softly, and realised he walked fast. Really very fast.
I had to walked faster to match his speed.
"Where's Peggie? Are you guys in the same class?" I asked.
"Nah, she's in the class next door to ours." He said, entering my classroom.
"Wait. We're both in the same class? How'd you know that?"
