I COULDN'T STOP pacing up and down in the house and I felt like strangling Halimat,my hate for her intensified and couldn't believe she could do this to me

Why all the good things in my life always slip away

I wanted to tell my dad to stop all of this but who am I to put Aishah in danger,like she earlier said we weren't meant to be and I'm starting to believe it,maybe it's the best to let go of her and find a genuine happiness for herself that I failed woefully to give her

Not long enough my phone started vibrating and I checked it,it was Aishah's sister and I was surprised because she had never called me,my anxiety reached it's peak as I think about Aishah what if something was wrong

I picked the call immediately and all I could hear was her sobs

"What's wrong?"I asked getting quite shaking thinking of different scenarios that could have happened to Aishah

"I called Aishah to inform her about my dad decease and I don't know what happened she got involved in an accident...."

My ear tune out of what Qadeerah was saying when I heard accident,I got much more frightened

"Where is she now?"I asked taking my car keys and I rush out of the house

"She's in the hospital"she said in between sobs and I ended the call

I yelled at the gateman to open the gate immediately and I rushed out of the compound driving my car as fast as I can

I started chanting words of prayers as I prayed for nothing serious to happen to her,my hands shakes out of nervousness but I try keeping cool

Soon enough the sight of the hospital started appearing and I get more agitated,I rush out of the car as soon as I parked my car in the parking lot

I went inside the hospital and met Qadeerah pacing up and down,I quickly rushed to her holding her hand

"Where is she?"I asked and she noticed my presence

"Hello madam"a voice stopped her from replying and I noticed how puffy her eyes are and how tired she looked

"Yes"she replied giving the doctor her full concentration

"Can I talk to you in private?"he asked her while glancing at me

"He is her husband"she replied and he nodded

"Meet me in my office"he said and walk away

"Where's dad corpse?"I asked

"He haven't been moved yet but soon anyways"she said walking tiredly and I felt pity for her with her big belly

We entered the doctors office soon after and he sat graciously waiting for us,he signaled us to sit down and we did as we were told

"Her case it's not something so severe,she just hurt her head and with enough rest and taking the right drugs she will be back to normal"he said and I heaved gracefully,thank Allah it's not something so serious
