The Back Story

It has been 3 days since Antonio broke into my house and told me this new information it's a lot to take in. I already know what I'm against but  this paints a different picture.

As I dazed off I felt someone place a hand on my shoulder " Hey is everything all right you have been not yourself theses few day" I looked up it was Dr.Elwood with a worried expression on his face.

I smiled a little " oh everything is fine I just have a lot of stuff on me that's all" I said

" well I hope you get better I just need to talk to you about a few things its about one of your patients" he said walking to his desk and sat in his chair

" I hope everything is ok?" I nervously said

" Well it's not looking good for her,her condition is getting worse" he said looking at some paper

"Well I'm trying my best with her she has a very weak heart just give her some more time" I said reassuring

" I will just have to trust you on this she has a very rare condition called Bland White Garland Syndrome where the left coronary artery originates from the pulmonary trunk yesterday she suffered from another cardiac arrest. She is in your care I know you care so much about your patients I was just worried I think she has stressed." He said with worried in his eyes

I looked down for a moment at my hands for a moment thinking about my patient Marie Esposito she was only 21 years old. She has long brown hair brown eyes and very pale skin she about 5'4 and very skinny. She said she was just visiting her family for the weekend and out of nowhere she suffered from cardiac arrest due to her rare condition that she was born with. She was making progress her family visits her everyday she told me her husband is coming out to visit her soon.

As I got up and walked over to Dr.Elwoods desk and looked at him " I promise she will get better I will try with every bone in my body and I been moderating her I think the cause was brugada syndrome because I looked up her family it seems that her father has suffered from the same thing."

He sat back in his chair " I see this is why I trust you with cases like theses you are determined to find the problem and rather quickly." He got up and got his clip board " I have an very important meeting to day and at 4 o'clock I will stop by to see her nice job." After that he walked out

The thing I liked about Dr.Elwood he always complement you when you are doing something right. I decided to head to Marie's room to check up on her first as I was about to knock I heard voice from the other side of the door.

I begin to knock and in just a few secs the door swing open a tall man appeared he look about 6'2 he had brown almost black eyes he was clean shaved an chiseled jaw line he was slim to medium built. He was wearing an dark blue tuxedo suit his dress shirt was half open you can see his chest with an gold chain he had an written tattoo on his chest but was covered up a little bit.

"Who are you" his eyes darted at me

"Um...I'm the doctor I'm here to check up on my patient to see if she's ok" I said looking directly at his eyes. I know those type of eyes and that stare he is trying to put fear and dominance over me not with me his is not.

" Is this an joke you can not be her doctor" he said in a really heavy italian accent looking me up and down

" sorry to bust your bubble but I have an white coat and my badge says I'm one so can you please move aside so I can see my patient" still staring directly at him

As he was about to say some more bullshit " who is at the door? I heard a faint voice from behind him

He finally looked away "it's some lady claiming to be an doctor" he said over his shoulder
