CHAPTER TWO

Devon Davenport hated school, he didn't see any need in going, after all his family was rich, he could just inherit all their money but unfortunately, he had to continue pretending to be a good son to his parents because of the media.

He couldn't believe Blake Anderson his best friend had signed him up to show the new student around, he was pissed. He hated doing charity. He had heard it was a student named October Young, he wondered what type of girl was named after a month of the year.

He walked down the hall to the main office trying not to scowl; he had promised Blake he wasn't going to be too rude, he wasn't capable of not being rude at all.

"Hello Miss Skylar, I'm here for the new student - he said as he entered the office forcing a smile.

"Please wait a moment - she said cheerily he didn't like Miss Skylar but almost everyone hated her she was annoying.

"Miss Young? - Miss Skylar called gaining the attention of the redhead at the Corner of the office. She stood up immediately, trying her best to smile. She seemed nervous.

"Hi I'm Devon - he said shaking her hand.

"I'm October - she replied following him outside. He paused once they were outside the office, studying her intently. She had her hair tied in a low ponytail.  She had a slim nose and was quite curvy. She was really beautiful.

"To be honest, I don't want to be here but I promised my friend I would show you around. So Shall we? - Devon tried his best not to frown but he couldn't.

"You don't have to show me around, I'll find my way, I have a good sense of direction - October replied.

"If you say so, - he said turning to leave.
"Gosh, what an asshole - she muttered to herself as she watched him leave.

Thanks to a kind-hearted soul, October had managed to find her class in record time and had made a new friend in the process.
She had met Sookie after bumping into her, since she wasn't the stereotypical mean girl she had shown her around and promised to find her during lunch and was going to introduce her to the gang.

Of course, October had tried to protest due to her resolutions but Sookie wasn't a person who took no for an answer.
October took her to sit in class after reporting to the teacher.

She was to permanently sit at the penultimate row which she was grateful for, she didn't like sitting in front. Thankfully the sit beside hers was empty so she didn't have to converse with anyone. She just wanted to pretend she was listening.
