Wizard of Rondo

(Our first party member up there. Tania Resselia)

Haru's POV

After a long trip with no monster spawned, I reached the Valley of Rondo. This place is mostly a village because they live in the valley where monster won't attack them. Besides, a city in the the almost-desert part is a attraction for monster so its hidden in the valley. I walks down the stair to the town entrance. Its quite lively and the smell in the air is mostly sand.

"What should I do....?". As I was thinking on what to do next, someone bumped into my back. "Ah..sorry I didn't see ya there...", the person said and then went away quickly. The sound was deep and rough so it must've been a male. That's when I notice something gone. How pathetic. I marked my stuffs with magic rune so if they're far away from me..."Ah! What the hell!?", the thief came back to me and he stole my katana.

"Give me a reason to let you live or Ketsugyo will impale your stomach", I said with my aura released. The thief trembles in fear and peed in his pants. "P-Please don't kill me!", he pleads me as he kneels in front of me. "Why would I kill you?", I said and he looks at me with happiness. "....when I can torture you~", I grins as evil as I can and he ran away from me. Thief these days...they should find weak target and not me.

I walk into a cafe and sit down on a lonely table. A lady came to sit next to me. She wore a black cloak and a mage hat. She must be a wizard as she had a magic staff on her back. "Hello miss but I prefer to sit alone", I said to her but she just gave me her Status Card. Her name is Tania Resselia. 17 year's old. Her level is 25. Class is Wizard and she mastered all spells but she is ranked as a D-class adventurer.

I read more of it and there was a VIP sign on it. "Oh. Sorry for my rudeness. I will go now". As I gets up, she holds my shirt and tugs it. "I suggest you stay in here", she said and I don't understand whats her deal with me. "Look outside and you'll see", I look outside as she instructed and a monster appears from the ground. The monster had a very big jaw and it devours some people outside the cafe.
Blood splatters around as more of them gets devoured. I tries to walk to initiate an emergency execution of the monster but Tania keeps me from moving. "I suggest you stay if you don't want to die. That monster can split up even if you kills it. Judging from your appearance, you're a swordsman and your katana won't be hitting that monster.", she said and she shows me the monster's status. "What the..!", I was in shock as I look at the status.

Data: A big mole-like creature with strong shell that gets harder the more it gets hit by physical attack. It will spawn mostly at the bottom a valley but these creature can dig really fast. Adventurer should be aware of its ability to split into smaller size. When they're not hungry, their stats would decrease except for its defense.

"Its best if the monster is satisfied and then we should attack it", she said with a blank expression.  "How many does it eat until its full?", I feel the guilt of just watching the Graun Dimole devouring many people. "By the size of the monster, it would take a lot", she gets up and walks away. "I suggest you to just stay here and just watch the show". She was not in sight anymore and I couldn't bear to watch the people dies. The town is painted red a lot and I can't control myself.

"Its happening! Grrr....arghhh!!", I howls as my bloodlust rises. The smell of blood....its so fresh and looks very tasty. "No! I must control myself. I don't want to turn into a monster!!" My eyes turns red and my size increased a little with spiky fur and sharper claws. Fangs bared as I went Beast Mode. "H-Hey... you alright sir?", a male said and tries to touch me but I snarls at him which made him retreat back to his spot.

"Come here you shit!", I dashed at the monster and kicks it at it's eye. It bleeds a lot and I took out my katana as I jumps to the air. "Stupid! What are you doing there?!". I heard Tania yells at me and she was preparing a magic spell. "Shut up and let me take care of this! GRRRRAWRRRR!!", I pierced through the shell of the monster with my claw and blood spurts out of it. "Kill them all Ketsugyo!!! Art of Death: Deaths Bringer!!". Ketsugyo gets covered in dark energy and I sliced the monster in half, all the way from top to the bottom. I swings Ketsugyo again and the flesh of the monster, completely disappears.

I huffed heavily and barely can even stand up. My bloodlust is gone and my size went back to normal. "Are you o-ok?", Tania asked me and she cast a healing magic on me. "I'm....good...", I huffs in between those words and gets up with low stamina. I falls onto her and she grabs me by my shoulder. "You're really tired but its ok. I'll help you. What did just now was awesome and scary....", she said and placed me on the couch in the cafe. "I will not tell you about it", I said and she raised her eyebrows. "Wha- how did you know I was gonna ask?", she said and stares at me as I ignores her. "You gave me that curios look and you're a wizard. Of course you would like to know about me", I tell her and she covers her face with her hat as she blushed. "Anyway I'm done here so see ya next time Tania". I got up and stretched my arms as I felt like I just had the rest of my life.

Before I could walk out of the cafe, she holds my shoulder and tugs it. "What?", I said with a bored look on my face. "Let me join your party", she said. "Why should I do that?", I asked and raised an eyebrow. "You're tired and alone. The journey to the next town will be far, Graun Dimole won't be the only one in your journey and you're very reliable", she said with her blank expression and it was the truth. I'm not gonna last long on the journey to the next town and she is a wizard. Her spells would be useful and she will be my first party member. "Ok but I'm the leader", I said and gave her a smile which she also smiled back. "Let's go to the next town! Caredice Fall, here we go!".
