After I had walked around the garden for a bit, Sasha ran out, "Jayden woke up!" she exclaimed, I looked at her,
"Is he alright?" I asked, walking up to her,
"He's fine, however, he did lose an eye, and his cuts need to heal, but they aren't that bad," Sasha paused, "We're lucky he's not worse," she trailed off,
"Or dead" Sasha looked at me concerned,
"You're right, but, wouldn't 'dead' fall under 'worse'?" Sasha asked, leaning on the wall around the porch,
"I guess," I stepped on the porch, walking towards the door, I paused, "Do you think Jayden will take this well?" Sasha walked to next to me,
"Take what?"
"The fact he lost an eye?" Sasha thought for a second, and after a moment said,
"It shouldn't matter what he looks like, as long as he's a good person," Sasha went inside, I soon followed her.
Jayden was sitting on the bed, Sasha had given him an apple, and he was eating it, he looked absent minded, sure, he was there, however, he was lost in thought,
"Hey Jay," I said, sitting next to him,
"Oh, hey," he said, Jayden looked at me, and I could see that he had been told that he lost an eye already,
"So you got told, huh," he looked at me sadly,
"Yup," he looked at the ground, his brown hair was a mess, "I'm," he trailed off, "I'm terrifyingly ugly, aren't I," tears started rolling down his cheeks, I took a deep breath,
"Jay, look at me," he glanced at me, using the end of my cloak, I wiped his tears off, "As long as you're a good person, it doesn't matter what YOU look like," I made sure to put empathis on the word 'you',
"So? Everyone will be scared of me!" Jayden turned away from me.
"Hey, she's right," a voice chimed in, I looked at the door to see Darius, "If you're a good person, nobody will care what you look like," I smiled and nodded, Darius walked to Jayden, "Let me show you somewhere I lost someone dear to me," he glanced at me, I knew it was his sister, Summer, he was talking about, I nodded,
"Sounds like a good idea, I can ask Sasha and Simon to make you guys some pie," I declared, and walked off.
