"Stiles!"
He blinked, his day dream evaporating from his mind. Lydia was giving him exasperated look, he noticed he'd been tapping his pen and jigging his legs up and down.
Normally she would have been able to ignore Stiles doing that but they were in the middle of a test and she was sitting very close to his own desk.
He mouthed sorry to her and tried to focus on the test only then remembering why he'd gone into a day dream anyway. It was so so dull. The most boring test he'd ever had. Once again as he started reading through the question, he felt himself disappearing into his dreams.
That fox appeared in his mind again, running along the road near his house, being chased by sharp teeth. What was up with that fox? Why did it keep coming up in his mind? And why again did it-
A book was smashed down on his table, jumping him back into reality and interuppting his thoughts.
Stiles gulped as he started into his teachers eyes, who was giving him a look that he swore could kill him.
"I assume as you have time to stare into space, that means you've finished your test?"
Stiles said with a tight smile "Um...I was staring at the wall in front, not space, I think thats rather impossible, Sir"
A few giggles rang out in the classroom.
The teacher narrowed his eyes at Stiles response.
"What is wrong with you?"
Stiles sighed as Lydia ran up to him after the class, after he'd also gotten a detention today, which he wasn't surprised about.
"Nothing"
"So you wanted to get detention where you'll be doing likely some mock tests that you were finding so boring in the first place?"
Well... maybe Lydia had a point.
"I don't know, he just irritated me, I was thinking about something important"
"More important than the tests that could be deciding if you get into college?"
Stiles didn't have a response to that. He squirmed a little under her gaze then said reluctantly "Okay, maybe I overreacted but come on, that test was boring as hell and there are many more coming up"
"Hey guys! Whats up?" Scott came around the corner, Liam and Kira with him.
"Stiles is being an idiot" Lydia said smiling sweetly at him.
"Its just one detention Lydia!" Stiles groaned, then realised what he said out loud and withheld a groan, knowing Scott was not going to like this. He'd been monitoring Stiles behaviour a lot, considering the full moon was coming up, he didn't blame him but still.
"Detention?" Scott frowned at Stiles disapprovingly "What did you do?"
"Thanks" Stiles said dryly, giving Lydia a glare.
"No problem" She said with false joy.
"Nothing, I just talked back to a teacher a little, it's nothing to worry about" He muttered
Yet still, Scott looking disapproving frown turned into a look of concern, he asked seriously "Tell me the truth Stiles, how are you feeling? The full moon-"
"You think I don't know that!?" Stiles snapped, an actual growl in his voice, his friends around him startled a little at the sound.
All his worry and stress about the next full moon, after Scott had just mentioned it bubbled to the service and he had a hard time keeping his voice level.
At his friends concerned looks, Stiles cringed knowing this was just making them even more worried about him. He let out a long breath and his hand ran through his hair, while trying to calm himself down and ease his stress
Stiles said, looking down at the ground "I'm sorry, I-I shouldn't have snapped. I just want to pretend everything's normal for a bit and I'm not slowly loosing my mind"
Scott's expression from concern turned to sympathy but he still said "You can't ignore this Stiles or run away from it"
Stiles really wanted to shout and who's fault is that?!
But he knew that thought at least, was definitely the moons influence so instead he just replied with a grim "I know"
