Being fellow supernatural-related families, the Minamoto Clan and [L/N] Clan are close to each other.

Excluding Teru, the kids aren't ready to come with the adults while they're on their duty, so the [L/N] Clan often let you, their youngest child, to stay in the Minamoto house while both families are on work.

The [L/N] Clan isn't specialized for physical exorcising. They study supernaturals, communicate and negotiate with them. Exorcists who prefers to use their brains instead of physical strength normally chose this route.

The second youngest of the Minamoto family, Kou, caught your parent's attention. He's around your age and proven to be quite strong, although he acknowledges to be not as strong as his brother.

However, he doesn't know how to control his feelings and often let them take over, leading him to bad decisions.

You're quite the opposite. You're calm and collected. You'd think more than twice just to make sure things go how you want it to be.

Despite having quite significant differences, it in result causes you to be VERY close to Kou.

You guys would absolutely be a deadly duo. Kou, who counts on strength does the work while you'd plan and build strategies. You need and you have each other. Without Kou, you can't work on you plan. Without you, Kou can't work things properly.

You went throught a lot together. You trained exorcising together. You started school together. You went through detention together. You got sick together.

You exchanged vows together.

Tiara wasn't even born that time. It was a very heavy rain at that night. The toddler-you were terrified from the loud thunder noises. You hid yourself under the covers as you shiver.

"[Y/N]? Please get out from there..." Young Kou pleaded. "It isn't that scary! Look, I'm right here!"

"K... Kou-kun..." you sobbed. "I-I'm scared..."

Kou hugged you tight. "No, don't be. Look, Teru-nii gave me this raiteijou!" He took the golden staff and stretched it out towards you. "with this, you don't need to worry about anything if a ghost threatens you!"

You peeked from the edge of the covers, slowly encouraging yourself. "I'm also afraid of the rain."

Kou went silent for a bit, as if he was thinking about something serious. His face brightened up as he quickly took a wide, black fabric and wraps it around his raiteijou like an umbrella.

"Look!" Kou held out the poorly made 'umbrella'. You laughed at how bad it looks, but it made you feel a thousand times better.

"What is that?"
