On Tour (Pentatonix)

Chapter 20

"Uh-h-h!" I stuttered. "Eh-h-h" 

"Me, since I'm not interested in women, she has to get over it!" Mitch stepped in and said. Scott's face dropped in disappointment. 

"Yeah, I said backing away."Thanks Mitch!" I whispered to him.

"We'll talk about this later" He walked away to Lucy. We waited an other hour for the bus to be fixed.

"That should be it!" Lucas said getting up.

"How much?" Genevieve asked.

"Free of charge!" Lucas said. We were all shocked.

"Really?" Genevieve said.

"Sure!" He said.

"Dad!" Lucy came shouting around the corner. Mitch followed her.

"I got tickets for their show!" She said, jumping up and down. I smiled.

"It's a wonderful offer but we can't go!" He said sighing. My smile fell. 

"Why not?" Mitch asked.

"We need to go to the hospital to see mom," I could see Lucy make a sad face. That brought back bad memory's for me. 

-Flashback to when I was three-

"Now, do you know what happened?" A lady asked me.

"Something went bang?" I asked. 

"Your parents are going to go somewhere for a long time," A women said. She started to leave.

"Where's Johnny?" (My older brother)

"Come on we'll go see him" She said. I ran up and held her hand, we walked along a corridor and went inside a room. My other brother David was standing beside a bed whipping tears away.

"Come here, Annabeth" David held out his hand and I grabbed it. I walked over and Johnny was connected to a lot of wires, lying on a bed.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked.

"Emm he's not very we.." Something started to beep without stopping. 

"You kids need to get out now!" We were pushed out by some nurse. 

"You have to know I will always love you!" David kissed me on the forehead and left with an other women.

-End of flashback-

"Annabeth!" Mitch was swiping his hand in front of my face.

"Hmm?" I asked whipping tears away from my face.

"You ok?" I just noticed that everyone was staring at me. 

"Yeah, how about we take Lucy with us and drop her off after the concert?" I wondered. 

"I can do that!" Genevieve said. 

"It's up to you Lucas?" I said. He looked down at Lucy.

"Only if you take photographs?" He said. Lucy started to jump up and down. 

"We need to go past your house so we can stop to let you get things!" Scott said. 

"I'll see you at the house!" She kissed her dad and came over to me.  

"Let's go!" I said taking her hand, we got on the bus and she sat beside me. 

"So why is your mum in the hospital?" Scott asked. I stared at him, you don't ask someone that!  

"No one will tell me exactly but, she's hooked up to a lot of wires!" She said still looking out the window. Bad memories coming back again, why! I hate this, I could feel some tears come down my face. Kirstie came over and gave me a hug,

"Come on!" She said and took me to the back of the bus and we sat down.

"What's up?" She asked.

"It's just Lucy's mom is in hospital and so was my brother Johnny. Kirstie I was there when the line went flat, then my other brother left and said I will always love you. I know what it feels like, for people to go through that!" I said sighing.

"Who did you live with?" She asked.

"David went away to foster homes and I have never seen him since. I went and lived with my mom's friend and their daughter Rosie, my former flat mate." I said, Kirstie brought me into another hug.

"I don't know what life would be like with out you now!" I said getting back up because the bus had stopped. 

"You are definitely classed as my best friend now!" She said standing up with me. I walked back through and Lucy was talking to Scott about things.

"You ok?" Scott asked me. I nodded then Mitch dragged me away back to the top of the bus.

"Wow, what's up?" I asked.

"We need to talk about you and Scott getting together!" He crossed his arms and started to tap his foot.

"I don't think that it's going to happen!" I said, he looked at me surprisingly.

"You are kidding!" I gave him a confused look. "You are so blind!"
