Crossed the Line

Clark put his finger tips together and sighed.
"Clark, I will not end this, this way! I WILL TELL THEM! NONE of them will make it! I will-" "Be quiet Kriss, Im just figuring things out..."
"Figuring things?! I highly doubt this is "figuring things" out!"
Kriss yelled back, obviously-- vexed. She then sat down in front of Clark's desk, helpless. She hung her head. Clarks sharp facial features made an expression of curiosity.
"What is it?"
Kriss shook her head. Tears sprang from her eyes.
"I never wanted it to end this way..."
She suddenly snapped her head up so she was looking into his eyes and yelled,
"Clark! This is WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!"
She collapsed in a heap in front of him and he knelt down and started stroking her hair.
"Im sorry, Krissta Velshero... I wish I had chosen you. And I now know, that-- Kriss, I was wrong."
Kriss slowly shook her head.
"Am I stupid. I thought you loved me. And you didn't, I came here expecting romance-- instead, I got a life."
Clark stopped. He had heard those very words from a broken man, who didn't quite know he was broken yet.

Alexander paced the room. Lilliana looked up from her periodic table.
"What are you doing?"
She asked sweetly, completely be founded by the man standing in front of her with his eyes on the ground muttering.
Alexander frowned at her.
"Thinking."
He said it in a rude, mean way but that sparked Lilianas interest.
"About what?"
She put down the periodic table a look of admiration painted in her eyes.
He sighed.
"There is no getting rid of you is there?"
She shook her head smiling.
"Im thinking about the mock quest. I mean- he said we might die."
"That means we might live as well."
"Why are you so happy? And how did you come to that conclusion?"
"Well, you just gotta look at the right side of things, right?"
With that Liliana skipped out of the room and Alexander-- he realized he was blushing...

Arianna looked at the note again smiling,

Arianna,
I saved you. Now you owe me another date.
I'm joking! I just want to have another chance because:

I LOVE YOU!

At least.. I think I do?...

She stroked the words and then got up and left for the mock quest.

Jerome stood next to Megan (Red Cross) and turned towards the masters.
"So, todays Quest will be easy. You CANNOT die. If you do, then you weren't cut out to keep your powers anyway."
Clark announced. Juniper then but in:
"The Quest will take place in the past. You will be given a task to find a crystal. There are only 17 crystals and there are WAY more of you. Of course if you can't find the crystal then..."
Juniper stopped and Kriss finished for her.
"You will either lose your powers or... be dead. I promise you death is better then losing your powers. AND, I promise you-- at least ONE of you will not make it out of this challenge alive."
She stopped and then finished. She smiled cruelly and then turned to Jerome and Megan.
"You two, Partners."
"Why!?" Megan yelled.
"Because- couples never work out so-- Bring each other down... I don't care!"
Megan then fumed,
"If you really want to bring a couple down put George and Vivi together!"
"No."
"What?"
"You didn't think this was just so you can keep your powers... did you?"
"I dont--"
"You. Idiot. We keep you entertainment purposes."
Clark grabbed Kriss.
"Oh, f***, you're drunk, Krissta- I mean, Kriss."
He grabbed her and hauled her along.
"Juniper! Get them started!"
"Yes, yes!"
She muttered an incarnation and suddenly they were all floating towards the past...
Elysium gasped as she landed face first onto the grass of-- her backyard?
"Hey? What are you doing in my mothers garden?"
The girl asked. She looked about 15 years old.
"Im, Elysium. Or Elly, whichever. You know what? You should know me. I am Lady Sanctus."
Elysium gulped this was her alright... 15 year old her.
"Nice to meet you um-- Elly. I kinda need some help..."
"Sure, the lady helps all."
"Ahhh-ah-ah OK! So... how do you get out of here?"
"Oh! Down through the manor of course!"
"Shit."

Ryan quickly snuck up behind Arianna.
"boo!" He yelled.
The girl whipped around. As she did he realized. This girl seemed to be-- Arianna in the past! He guessed she was about 14 or 15 and then gave a little laugh.
"Haha, Im so sorry... thought you were someone else..."
Arianna laughed.
"I can feel there is a precious gem near by! Are you looking for it?"
"Ahh! Yes! Don't touch it!"
"I don't know... this one feels powerful..."
"Seriously, Ari-little girl, I need that gem!"
"Well then--too bad."
Arianna opened her palm and there sat the beautiful crystal.
"give it to me!"
Ryan yelled, aspirated.
"Make me!"
She said a little forcefully.
He rolled his eyes. He really didn't have time to play a game with baby Arianna. Diving down he tried to snatch it and she dived to the side a laugh escaping her lips. Ryan even more furious tried again and again and she just was way too quick for him!
"You know, i can see into the future... Sure, i can't see very far yet-- Im just working on my powers so far but I can still see what you're going to do next."
Ryan screamed really mad now.
Stupid 14 year old Arianna...

Megan pulled from Jerome again.
Kriss had magically stuck her and Jerome together so that they can't be a meter away from each other without a force pushing them back together.
Jerome yelled,
"Arg!" He pulled again.
