Chapter 9 "Do I love him?"

Hello! Thank you for continuing to read Moonlit Gold! I spent all yesterday and today working on plans for the next few chapters! Once again, I can not guarantee a stable uploading schedule, but I can guarantee that I WILL finish this fanfic! Please don't forget to vote and share! Maybe comment! "You're really despicable, you know.." Titus said as he walked up to Sphintus, he raised his hand as if to hit the taller boy. The blonde released his hesitation and allowed his hand to strike the other, the sound of Sphintus being slapped rang out.

Connie as well as Pinocchio stood in shock, both of their eyes widened in distress as Pinocchio tugged on the cape of his friend's. The large nosed man gesturing for the rounded boy to follow him out, the two scurried away leaving Titus and Sphintus to conflict.

"What the- Hell?! They got away, hold on for a minute, won't you-" Sphintus attempted to spill out, he was having a late reaction. Sphintus hadn't yet realized that Titus struck him.

Sphintus strived to chase after the boys who had attacked him, his efforts being stopped abruptly by Titus grabbing Sphintus' wrist.

"You stole those chocolates from Connie! You're just a thief!"

"He was going to give them to you-"

"No! I know already, I watched everything!"

"What-"

"Why did you give them to me? You just said you didn't like me-"

"No-!! I- That's-"

"Whatever. I don't care." His upper lip curled in disdain, it looked like Titus was trying to hold back tears.

"Titus, please listen to me." Sphintus said, trying to convince the blonde to not run off. He would find a way to explain everything to him, but now wasn't the time to confess his feelings for the shorter boy.

Titus turned around in anger, stomping off not even sparing a glance towards Sphintus. Sphintus stood there, not exactly knowing how to feel about this entire situation. What was the point in going out that day? He wanted to spend it with Titus, but now Titus was angry at him! It wasn't like he was going to go apologize or anything, he was too stubborn for that, maybe he would apologize more subtly. Sphintus pinched the bridge of his nose before walking back slowly towards his dormitory, sighing deeply as he ran his empty hand through his hair.

Titus scurried out of the academy, occupied with wiping the tears out of his eyes. This caused Titus to run into someone, usually the people he met were taller than him, but this.. Girl? Was his height. How pleasant! At the moment, Titus didn't really care though, he just needed to find an outdoor scene to be alone in.

"Oh hello. Is everything okay?" An unexpected sounding voice came out of the person in front of the blonde. It sounded androgynous but was leaning towards a man's voice. Titus composed himself quickly and upon sweeping his bangs to the side, he was able to get a nicer look at the stranger. They had three braids in their bangs, their eyes were soft yet held a sharpness to them. They seemed quite airheaded but serious at the same time? He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Their hair was a pinky red, and had two long sections of hair resting upon their shoulders that fell down to their waist.

"Oh, um! Yes, I am alright." Titus said, smiling.

"No, you're not. What's wrong?" The stranger asked.

"I don't know who you are, please stop-"

"Kouha Ren, third imperial prince of the Kou Empire. You are?" Titus' face cracked, he thought this was a girl! The blue eyed boy now understood how other people felt after discovering he was a boy. Even worse! It was a royal from the Kou Empire! The Kou Empire was an extremely fierce and restless country... a country of war!
