Running From The Truth (Hiatus)

Arc 1: Chapter Four

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

That was close. Ochako thinks to herself as she enters her room.

She didn't like him, she knew that. They literally met not even a month ago. But still, his movements felt all too familiar. Despite his hard outer layer, the touch was soft and loving, and it reminded her of her Deku.

However, knowing that he wasn't hers she couldn't grow attached. They weren't the same...and she shouldn't expect the same things from someone who may not be capable of them.

The next day was Sunday, where Mina suddenly decided that she wanted all the girls to hang out in her room today. Ochako knew exactly what she was planning however.

"So the reason for our meetup is here!" Mina annouces as Uraraka walks through the door. She mentally sighs. Here it comes.

"Ooh! Looks like Mina has some tea! Do tell!" Hagakure says, excited. The rest of the girls looked just as excited.

"Well yesterday..." Mina begins, which makes Ochako blush. "I was walking to the kitchen to get some water, and that's when I was Deku and Ochako. They were literally this close to kissing!" She says.

The girls look to Ochako. "You're not denying it...its true isn't it?" Tsuyu asks. She nods slowly.

"But it was just a moment! I don't even like him..." she trails off.

"So you're saying you almost kissed him, but you don't even like him?" Jiro asks.

"Well...it felt familiar...reminded me of him." She says honestly. Without even saying his name, they knew who she was talking about, which brought the mood all the way down to zero.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bring up something so sad!"

"No, no, it's fine. We know how you feel Uraraka, and personally I understand why you two almost kissed." Momo says.

"You do?" She asks surprised.

Momo nods. "He looks alot like Midoriya and even goes by his hero name. Even though you won't admit it, we all know that you still miss him...and now that Deku's here, you're starting thinking about something you thought you were over. You thought it was actually him, didn't you?" Momo questions.

"Yeah...I did. Which isn't exactly a good option. If he actually likes me, then I don't want to go out with him because he reminds me of my late boyfriend...I want to go out with him because of him." Uraraka says with a sigh.

"Ooh! I have an idea! This Friday! Let's all hang out together! With the boys too! It's been awhile since we had a game night," Mina suggests. Ochako mentally sighs, knowing by game night that they wouldn't be playing any games.

"Yeah you're right. I'm down," Momo says. "You should get Deku to join too," she adds.

"W-what?"

"You're friends with him aren't you? He literally only listens to you so come on," begs Mina.

"I don't know girls...he's kinda antisocial and he isn't really friends with anyone else..." Uraraka says honestly. She didn't want him arguing with Bakugo all night.

"This'll be the perfect time for him to make friends! Come on!" Hagakure says. "I agree aswell...he can find similiar interests with everyone esle if he comes." Jiro says.

Uraraka was shocked. Everyone is agreeing? She thinks.

The girls turn to Tsuyu. "What do you think Tsu? Should he come?" Mina asks.

Asui sighs. "Actually, he should." she ribbits causing the girls to cheer.

"All is left is to ask him. Pretty please Ochako?" Mina asks, practically beggings. She sighs. "Fine. But if he says no it isn't my fault." she says.

The next day was Monday, a school day, and since they had finished early Uraraka and Deku presented their projects, along with a few other people.

"I was meaning to ask you..." she starts, remembering that the girls wanted her to ask. "Would you like to hang out with our class this Friday. For game night." she says.

"I don't-" he starts, before remembering how Shigaraki wanted him to at least gain everyones trust. If he doesn't, when the time came down to it, everyone would think- no they'd know it was him.

"Yeah I'll go." he says, shocking her.

"Wait really?" she asks, very surprised. "Don't make me repeat it." 

Ochako nods, sending a smile his way before waving. "Kay! I'll text you the time and details! See ya!"

Seeing her smile makes a warm feeling spread through Deku. He shudders, shaking it off. These must be his inner self's feelings...not his own.

I'm back from my break.
