Seasons Maiden

Before The Emma

The wind was howling, the earth was trembling, the sea waves were growing stronger and the nature was dying quickly.
Nothing could stop the Emma, the End of the World. The world was dying.
The four rulers, already at the top of the World, with them, four girls that would change Solstice forever.
In a flash, a strong light came out of the Earth, splitting in four... One for the wind, one for the sea, one for the earth and one for the nature.
The sun's light was slowly returning, restauring what have been gone.
After that the light entered the girls abandoning their identities and becoming the Maiden.
The rulers chose one maiden for each countries and left, returning as heros.
But their victories went to their maiden, praised and respected by all.
But the Maiden weren't Immortal and soon the balance of the world was at risk once again.
Solstice couldn't bare another Emma, it would meant the destruction of all.
So the Maiden came out with a plan, they would die to protect Solstice then send their power in the sky.
The wiser said:

"We may die today. But do not fear. One day, we will come back. Our powers still exist and will chose wisely our successors. Protecting is our duty. Believe and have faith."

Before their ultimat act, the youngest gave four pendants to the rulers. Saying that went the time will come, they'll know who's the chosen one and gave them precise instructions.
After that, the maiden disappeared.
