Summer was impatient and worried. Since she came back Spring was still sleeping and the scientists were making slow progress, still she had no way to contact the others.

She looked at her sister's hand, the black pattern still on it. She knew what the Mist does, it only eat you or if you have the chance of coming back, your body would be in a horrible state, melting and falling apart then die.

But that wasn't something the Mist could do. Summer thought and thought about all the possibilities there was but nothing came into her mind.

She stand up and left the room, biting her thumb's nail, mumbling to herself.

"What if it's another threat...? No, no... The Elder would have told us..."

She sighed.

"I'm getting frustrated... I should get some fresh air."

On her words, she left the castle going in the town looking at the cloudy sky. Only the Mist remained even though she could see the sky appearing from time to time, she knew that if anyone wanted to go inside it was a death wish. But the kingdom was used to it, since it first came, everyone had time to prepare using magical protection making the Mist unable to reach them.

But as the years past, the Mist began to become unpredictable. Messy.

All the kingdoms will have to remake their plans to predict its arrival. Sighing, she sat down on the stairs going to the castle, putting her chin on her hands.

"It's bad..." She mumbled.

"What's bad...?"

Turning her head, Spring was right beside her, her hands covered by some magic gloves.

"Are you feeling better ? Isn't it safer for you to stay in bed ?" Asked Summer worried.

"I feel tired, but nothing else... Beside... I heard it's been days since I didn't woke up..."

"It's true. Though... I was worried. Your hand..."

"It's weird right...? When I touched it... It hurts a lot and the Mist suddenly appeared... It's my fault, I..."

"Hey. Don't blame yourself. Tell me exactly what happen." Reassured her Summer with a soft smile.

Spring sigh, sitting down as she thought about the day she touched that black goo.

"It was on a white horse... I... It's wound... It was nothing I could think off... That black goo was "melting" him, it has a hole... And I wasn't sure so I touched it and... "

" You were hurt... " Finished Summer.

Spring nodded, looking at her hand.

"It still hurts but... I'm fine. I don't know what that was though..."

"Your kingdom is making some research on it right now. But if you ever feel bad or anything else... Just call me, okay ?"

"I will. But... The Mist..."

"Yeah... I don't know either. It's like... It's getting more and more complicated..."

"Do you think we'll face another Emma...?" Asked the youngest shyly.

"I don't think so. Our kingdoms are in piece and the Emma was a long time ago. I think we know how to dodge it."

"I hope so..."

"What's wrong...? Is it because of your wound ?"

"No, no ! I'm sorry... I'm just so worried... You know...?"

"I understand Spring... More than you could imagine... I'm going to call the others."

"I see... I guess we should..."

Summer smiled softly, patting the head of her sister.

"Everything's gonna be okay. Trust me."

Spring smiled, nodding as she get closer of her sister, placing her head onto her shoulder, both of them looking up as the Mist finally let place to the beautiful blue sky, ending the magical barrier.
