Krystal.

The elderly in the family, destined to be a priestess like want the family traditions. She learned at a young age all the gods and other traditions of the others county, being invited to party, weddings and even got engaged like wanted her family.

She was also very close to her little sister, telling her everything she would learn and what she saw to the parties. Their bond was strong, so strong that she wouldn't hesitate to encourage her to take another path from hers, because deep in her heart. She didn't like her life but was unable to say no.

She wanted to protect her little sister, at all cost. Sometimes praying in the night to become a Maiden so her family would break down their rules.
But when her ruler came to see her one day, she saw it. The way to escape, the way to help her sister.
So when she came home, she sat down excited, but kept a straight face so she wouldn't look weird.

"I'm home !" Said her sister as she entered their room.

"Welcome back, sit down, I have something important to say."

"Is it bad...? Did I do something wrong ?" Replied the sister panicking.

"Of course not ! Come on, sit down."

Her sister sat down in front of her nervously, rubbing her hands together.

"Relax, it's not about you... Though... How was your trip ?"

"It... It was fine. I got to see more of the world out there !" She said smiling widely. "But... What do you have to say ?"

"I'm going to become the Winter Maiden."

Her sister eyes widen as she smiled, taking her hands.

"It's so cool ! When will you pass the ceremony ?"

"Tomorrow, there's no need to rush things up."

"I'm so happy for you !"

Finally, Krystal smiled and hold her sister's hands as well. She was going to be a Maiden. She would remember that day forever.

But that's what she thought.

When it was time for her ceremony, only her ruler was with her. She was ready, but she couldn't remember.

She blinked and the next hour, she was the Winter Maiden. Calm and cold like ice, her hair had turned white and her eyes in a pure blue.

She saw her ruler desiring her, but she immediately left the temple, going inside her destined room.

She felt like she was missing something. Something important.

But she couldn't remember. And she brushed it off. It was probably not important.

Winter was born.
