Brendan arrived at the Petalburg City and went to his father's Pokémon Gym. Brendan asks his father some tips in being a good trainer. Someone knocks in the door and came in. A boy named Wally, with green hair asks Brendan's dad to help him to get his first pokémon. Norman (Brendan's Father) lend his zigzagoon to catch in the wild grass. "Oh thank you sir Norman. Brendan can you help me catch my first pokémon? Thank you very much!" Said Wally. Brendan goes with Wally and went to the grass and a pokémon attacks Wally. It was a Ralts! Wally chooses zigzagoon and battled. Ralts was weakened and Wally throws a Pokéball and caught Ralts. Wally was so happy and thanks Brendan. They go back to the Petalburg Gym and returned Norman's Zigzagoon. Wally was so thankful to them. Then Brendan continued his journey and met a guy named Scott. Scott is chubby and wears blue polo with flowers and a sunglasses and became friends and helped Brendan.
