Brendan entered the Petalburg Woods and trained Blaze and Voira. They battled some wild pokémon, bug catchers and some trainers. While walking, a strange guy appeared to Brendan and asks if he saw shroomish. Suddenly a Team Aqua Grunt appeared. The strange guy run behind Brendan and said "WAAAH. Brendan please battle that guy." Brendan battled the Team Aqua grunt until it get defeated. The team Aqua grunt run away and the strange guy thanks him. The strange guy said that he is Daniel, the assistant of the president of the "PokeNav". Brendan thanks Daniel and continued his journey to Rusboro City
