Soon, Hop and Victor's battle had come to an end. Hop frowned, bringing his fainted Grookey back into its ball and stuffing it in his pocket. Victor had won really quickly, which was super impressive. I felt a bit embarrassed since I knew I wasn't that strong yet.
"Woah! That was awesome! Great job guys!" Lyra cheered, Togepi popped out of her bag and chirped in agreement.
"Man... I even got my Pokéball throw perfect too.." Hop muttered, Lyra snickered. Leon walked up to Hop and Victor with a big proud smile on his face. They both looked at him, trying to hide their excitement.
"Victor! Hop! Well, after seeing a match like that one.. I suppose I've little choice but to give you both an endorsement as champion!" Leon announced, handing Hop and Victor both an endorsement letters. Me and Lyra clapped, as to say congratulations. Victor and Hop looked at the letter, their eyes were shining.
"Yes! Thanks Lee! I swear I'm going to win my way through the gym challenge to reach you!" Hop spoke confidently.
"Not if I get there first!" Victor laughed, their rivalry was quite adorable.
"I can't wait to see what you guys can do! I'll definitely be watching all your games! I guess you could call me your first fan!" Lyra chuckled, I smiled at her. Hop grinned, placing his hands on his hips in confidence.
"Hop, you always tended to get caught up in things like how you throw your Pokéball out, things that have nothing to do with real strength. Honestly.. I'd been worried about you still obsessing over that sort of nonsense, but it seems you really have grown a bit, little brother!" Leon spoke, it was nice to see how proud he was of his brother.
"And I'd like to see some more thrilling Pokémon battles out of you too, Victor." Leon began, he then smiled at me.
"And you too, (Y/N)." He added, I chuckled awkwardly. I was about to say thank you, when Lyra began to nudge me. I looked at her and noticed something falling from the sky onto the ground, it almost looked like a shooting star. While everyone was talking Lyra and I both walked up to see what it was. We both looked into the grass to see two shining rocks laying in the grass. Lyra looked at the rocks curiously and picked them up.
"Hey guys.. I think these are wishing stars!" She yelled out excitedly, Hop and Victor immediately ran over.
"Woah really?!" Hop cried, Lyra opened her palm, showing the two boys the shining rocks.
"Here take em' you guys deserve them after that awesome battle!" Lyra smiled, Hop and Victor both took one of the shooting stars, looking at it like it was a diamond.
"No way! With one of these my Pokémon can Dynamax! Their gonna be massive! Yes!" He cheered, Leon and the professor both walked over to join us.
"I read that wishing stars fall down for people who have a true wish in their heart." I spoke, remembering what I had read in a magazine about Galar.
"I will be the greatest trainer ever!" Hop yelled, Lyra grinned.
"Awe come on! You can do better than that! Louder!" She yelled, Hop smiled.
"I WILL be the greatest trainer ever!!" Hop yelled again, only louder.
"Louder!" Lyra smirked.
"I WILL BE THE BEST TRAINER EVER!" Hop yelled for the last time. Lyra put her hand out and high-fived Hop. I rolled my eyes, but couldn't stop a small smile from forming on my face.
