It all started with a stupid game of spin the bottle...
Kurt and Ram were attending a party at Heather Chandler's house. It was pretty early so they were all sitting around in silence; they being the three Heathers, the two jocks and Veronica.
"Why don't we play Spin the Bottle?" Heather Duke suggested. Heather Chandler rolled her eyes, but ended up retrieving an empty beer bottle from the kitchen. It was placed on the ground amongst the teens, and the game commenced. It passed slowly; mainly Heathers getting into make out sessions with the over-excited boys. Finally, Kurt's spin landed on Ram. The boys tried to get out of it, making a poor excuse of not being gay, but Heather McNamara pointed out that if Heather Chandler could kiss Heather Duke, then Kurt could kiss Ram without it being gay. The jocks groaned, but realized that they would not be able to avoid the task without being known as chickens. Kurt swiftly took initiative and grabbed Ram's shirt, pressing a (rather aggressive) kiss to his friend's lips. Ram returned the gesture, although it did not seem as forced as the girls would have previously expected. It seemed as if the two would not stop until Heather Chandler cleared her throat loudly.
"Heather, Heather, come with me. We're going to get more Corn Nuts," she instructed. "Veronica, you stay and make sure these two don't destroy the house before the guests arrive." Neither Kurt nor Ram reacted to the Heathers leaving, looking too confused to really register what was going on. Veronica left to grab a soda when she heard the boys start talking.
"Bro... were you- enjoying that??" Kurt asked, sounding panicked.
"I don't know," Ram replied defensively. "Were you?"
"...kinda," Veronica heard Kurt mumble. She placed a hand over her mouth, biting back a gasp.
"Honestly, me too," Ram agreed.
"Does this mean we're gay?" Kurt wondered aloud.
"I... I think so," Ram reasoned. "Our dads are gonna kill us."
"No they won't," Veronica intervened, walking back into the room and handing both of them a beer.
"Veronica!" Kurt exclaimed. "Our angel of beer and hotness!"
"Drop the act, Kelly," Veronica snapped, sitting on the couch and opening her Coke.
"What are you talking about?" Ram questioned, trying to play it cool. Veronica just stared at them, and they caved.
"Oh my god we're screwed," Kurt lamented. "The whole school's gonna think we're pansies! We're gonna get kicked off the football team! We're-"
"Quit moaning," Veronica told him. "You're gonna be fine. Just because you're gay for each other doesn't mean the entire population of Sherwood, Ohio has to know. But if you don't want me telling Heather, there are some propositions I'd like to make." Both Kurt and Ram looked concerned.
"That was a dirty move, Sawyer," Ram glared, but he soon smiled weakly. "I like it."
"All I'm asking is that you're nicer to me, J.D., and Martha. Just quit being jerks," Veronica explained. Kurt rolled his eyes.
"If we quit being jerks, people are gonna know something's up," he disputed. "We can be nice to your boyfriend and Martha Dumptruck, but we can't stop torturing the entire nerd population."
"Gee, thanks. You're so generous," Veronica remarked flatly. "But it's a start. Alright, I won't tell Heather. But you two are gonna have to be careful about who you do tell. I wouldn't worry too much about your dads though..." The boys looked at her in confusion, but she just grinned and shook her head.
"Yo... Veronica?" Ram addressed her. "Sorry for being such a-holes." Kurt nodded, grabbing Ram's hand hesitantly. Veronica smiled.
"I think I can forgive you this time," she complied. The moment between the three was interrupted by the door slamming as the Heathers returned from their "quest".
"Veronica! We were talking and Heather said you could invite your boyfriend to the party!!" Heather McNamara cheered, grinning at the girl in blue.
"Cool. I'll call him up," Veronica agreed, standing. Heather Chandler looked annoyed, so Heather had probably won an argument to convince Heather to invite J.D.
Once Veronica called J.D. (and managed to get him to come), everyone began preparing for the party itself. Veronica greeted Jason once he arrived, but she quickly disappeared to another room. J.D.,confused, followed his girlfriend. He was surprised to find her in a room with Ram and Kurt. He was even more surprised when he saw that they were having a civil conversation with her, rather than doing something that would get them pegged as borderline sex offenders.
"Hey! It's Jesse James!" Ram greeted J.D., seeing him in the doorway. Veronica grinned at him, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the room.
"J.D., you won't believe this," she started. "They've had a change of heart."
"Well, sorta," Kurt interrupted, reminding Veronica of the official agreement.
"No way. What drugs are they on?" Jason asked in disbelief.
"Is it okay if I tell him?" Veronica checked with the new couple. After a few moments, both boys nodded, joining hands.
"They discovered that they like each other, oddly enough," Veronica summarized.
"And they called me gay?" J.D. laughed, still not fully convinced.
"We should probably apologize for that," Ram realized. "Sorry. Kurt and I know we've been major dolts, and we're gonna try to move on from that." Kurt nodded, looking J.D. in the eyes. Jason's eyes widened; he was now fully convinced.
"Holy crap," he muttered. "This is a whole new level of crazy..."
"I know, right?" Veronica mused. "C'mon, let's give 'em some privacy." J.D. and Veronica left the room hand in hand, laughing at the sudden change in the jocks' behavior.
"Oh my god..." Veronica suddenly whispered. "Is that Heather and Heather?!" Jason looked up to see that Heather Chandler and Heather Duke were, indeed, there. And they seemed to be passionately making out with each other.
"Wait... where's Mac?" Veronica suddenly questioned, looking for her friend.
"Worry about her later. I'm currently convinced that we're living in an alternate reality right now," J.D. laughed. Veronica chuckled.
"What do you say we go home? I think we should wait and address all of this when we're not drunk or high," she suggested. Jason nodded, following her to the door. They got on his motorcycle and drove back to Veronica's house.
