"Girl I know you still not thinking about that boy." Zoya said as she picked up a small black pillow and threw it at Erica's head. Erica sucked her teeth before smirking.
"No." She lied. Zoya raised her arched eyebrow at her best friend. "Mmhmm. I've known you for almost thirteen years. I know when your ass is lying." She exclaimed as she crossed her arms.
Erica sighed. "It's just, I cannot believe I was so stupid to think that HE would actually like me. I should've known it was the drugs." Erica said while shaking her head. The girls were in Erica's room binge watching Netflix and eating cold cut sandwiches. Since it was raining, Zoya asked to come over and have a girls day. This was something they did often anyway.
Erica avoided Zoya's stern gaze. "Now you stop right there, bitch!" Zoya began. "I'm not gonna keep telling your ass that you're BEAU-TI-FUL, okay?? And any nigga or bitch that don't think so is insane and I will beat they ass for you! Got that? You lucky you don't got him on social media so I could see his raggedy ass." Zoya exclaimed before rolling her eyes.
"You overthink too much, girl. If anything, he missing out on something great." She finished before biting into her other half of sandwich.
Erica looked over at her friend with a small smile. Zoya was always the one to put any and everyone in their place, especially when it came to the people she loved and Erica was definitely one of those people.
Zoya was an African queen in Erica's eyes. She had beautiful dark caramel skin that was almost flawless thanks to her skincare routine. Her hair was in a short curly cut with a side part since she did her big chop two weeks ago. She had a cute button nose and two toned eyes. The left eye was dark brown and the right was hazel but they weren't noticeable unless you were staring into them.
She was on the thick side, with a little belly gut but her booty and cleavage balanced everything out. Zoya was two years older than Erica, but since she came to the U.S. from Senegal at age 7, she was two years behind in her studies. They met in 6th grade and became inseparable.
"I wish you would've came." Erica said before sipping her mango Aloe water. "I would've if my damn job didn't call me in for an Overnight." Zoya rolled her eyes. "But you know I don't fuck with Piper like that. She be doing too much." She responded.
Erica laughed at Zoya's remark. Zoya and Piper couldn't stand being in the same room together. "That's your cousin and all but she be acting like she got a stick up her ass or something." Zoya added.
"You too much, girl." Erica responded with a smile. "Mmhmm. But you love me! Now put on a show!" Zoya said as she playfully nudged her best friend...
"Y'all niggas still going to this club and it's pouring out there?" Kordell asked his cousin over the phone. He was in his room staring out the window, with his AirPods connected in his ears, listening to all the shuffling Raul was doing.
It was now 8pm and Raul had called Kordell to remind him of the guys night out. But Kordell was having second thoughts.
"Nigga rain ain't stopping shit! We outchea!" Raul yelled, causing Kordell to take an airpod out. He chuckled while shaking his head.
"Get ready, I'm coming there in 30 to get you." Then the call ended. "This nigga crazy." Kordell said to himself before getting ready for a quick shower.
After about fifteen minutes, Kordell was now in his briefs, shuffling through his closet for an outfit. He settled on a black and white Givenchy T-shirt, light blue RAW slim-legged jeans and his all white and black Jordan 9's. Spraying on some DIOR Sauvage cologne. After putting himself together, his phone rung, causing him to quickly answer it.
