"I'VE BEEN FALLING FOR THIRTY MINUTES!" Loki screamed as he fell through a portal and crashed to the floor. Thor, and Doctor Strange looked at him.
He groaned, clutching his chest. "What are we doing here?" Loki demanded, brushing himself off and standing up.
Doctor Strange had gotten Thor to the Sanctum in search of Odin, by trapping Loki in a never-ending hole, and giving Thor his address on a slip of paper. After teleporting all over the place, Thor had had enough. Now they were about to leave, and Loki needed to go with them.
"This man is going to help us find Father," Thor said.
Doctor Strange was silent for a second, flipping through an enormous book.
"Just making sure this spell doesn't require any Asgardian modifications...Nope!" Doctor Strange said as he shut the book he was looking through.
"Who are you?" Loki asked with hostility.
"I'm Doctor Stephen Strange," Strange said in a bored voice.
"Yes, Earth has wizards now!" Thor said.
"The preferred term is 'Master of the Mystic Arts..."
"You think you're a sorcerer?" Loki demanded, brandishing twin daggers. "Don't think for one minute-
"Okay, here we go," Doctor Strange interrupted, waving his hands. A portal appeared, and suddenly, they were gone.
They had arrived at a grassy, windy cliff overlooking the ocean. Thor blinked as his eyes adjusted to the outside world. Loki however bounced up with the energy of a squirrel who had drank 10 Red Bulls.
"Well, where are we!?" Loki said, looking around. There was a wild look in his eyes, and he was smiling like a child.
"Norway," Doctor Strange said, narrowing his eyes quizzically at Loki.
"REALLY!?" Loki exclaimed. "I've always wanted to visit this place!"
Thor and Doctor Strange stared.
"Well what should we do first?" Loki asked, voice filled with excitement. He was jumping up and down, and clapping his hands like he was five years old. Thor went over, and grabbed his brother firmly by the shoulders and gave him a good shake. Loki's head was on a swivel as he still looked around at the landscape around them.
"What are we doing on this cliff? We should be shopping! Exploring! Let's go brother!"
"Who are you and what have you done with Loki?" Thor asked his brother.
"He seems not to have taken to the spell very well. But there wasn't supposed to be any modifications for Asgardians! There should have been no side-effects!" Doctor Strange was thinking hard about where he possibly could have gone wrong.
Thor processed the information. No side-effects for Asgardians.
"Oh no," he said.
"What, what?" Strange asked.
"He's not Asgardian..." Thor said.
"WHAT!?" Doctor Strange yelled.
His cloak promptly detached itself from his back, and put it's lower half up, so it looked like it was covering it's mouth in shock. Doctor Strange glared at it, and it promptly hopped back on.
"He was born in the realm of Jotunheim," Thor said, slapping Loki on the forehead trying to snap him out of his trance.
"Well that's not very nice," Loki said. Thor ignored him.
"Was anyone going to tell me!?" Strange asked, clearly exasperated.
"Well he's not exactly proud of it himself!" Thor shot back, grabbing Loki by the arm to prevent him from running away.
"Are you sure he's not Asgardian?"
Loki was still blabbering on about something. Thor punched him in the face, and he froze for a second, before toppling over and landing unconscious on the ground. His Asgardian facade faded off, and his blue Frost Giant skin appeared.
Thor stared down at his brother. "This isn't good," he said.
Silence from behind him.
"Hello?" He turned around, and his heart stopped. Strange was gone, he had vanished.
"Son of a-" Thor started to say. He looked down at the heap of unconscious Loki beneath his feet and sighed. He picked him up and started twirling his hammer, and with one majestic motion lifted himself off the ground. He knew exactly where to go.
