The air felt chilly as rose and Lisa set in the airplane both unbelievably shocked by the situation created. The academies were one of the safes places for moroi and dhampir, yet here they were being transferred to the court due to lack of safety. Rose had started to enjoy herself at the academy, finally making some good friends outside of Russia. The boys named Eddie and Mason were really funny and rose had started to enjoy getting into mischief with them. She liked the advance lessons with Alberta and Dimitri, She while hated some of the staff wanted to stay at the academy. She wanted to hold onto some level of normal in her life, however, now with their move to the court that wouldn't be possible at all.
Rose's anxiety about moving to court was getting worse by Lisa's thoughts and anxiety also filling into her. They had all grown up in Russia at some point in their lives and then had to move due to family or in the case of Dimitri-who was accompanying them as the official guardian of Lisa and rose- due to work. The world was harder than they had expected apparently.

"Liss, calm down. it'll be okay" Rose said, trying to keep herself calm. The guardians who were all silent including Dimitri, who acted more guardian like when the others were around. Rose still hadn't bothered to learn their names, she didn't want to. It was in her mind a rebellion she was holding against the changes that were taking place, however, she knew it wasn't an effective one.
"what's up with you comrade? you don't seem to ever have any opinions" Dimitri who was sitting next to her finally lowered his Western which rose swore he used more to hide from people than to actually read. "I go where my job requires me to be, princess" Princess. That was his little rebellion, whenever rose did anything to Dimitri to upset him in front of others he used this to get back at her.

"I didn't ask about your job! I asked if you want to go to court or not"

"There is no point discussing that matter"

"Who here is my guardian again? " rose asked the guardians sitting in the rows in front and behind her. of course, she knew the faces but due to the hight difference and difference in rows alongside the addition of 3 new guardians rose had difficulty identifying them. 2 people said 'me' without Dimitri who was the leader of the mission but officially he was roses guardian.  She had one more than lissa due to the fact that Abe liked being overboard and added one of his personally trained guardians to the mix.

"cool, so which one of you wants to fight comrade here for me? cause I think someone should do that" I said side-eyeing him.

"you aren't in danger from me"

"I might be in danger from you due to you almost making me crazy" rose replied. "Why can't I have a normal best friend? one's obsessed with weird novels and others obsessed with a RANDOM GUY can't see."

"rose, has anyone ever told you how annoying you are?"  lissa replied, slightly pink from roses comment.

"I think both of you are too nervous for no reason. The court isn't this horrible place that you make it out to be. You will be there for a short period of time anyway, it's only until the person who's doing this is caught and the trial takes place." Dimitri said without looking away from his book. It was comforting but the anxiety didn't truly leave rose and she knew it didn't leave lissa either.
