"Slavery"

Slavery.
Dates back to the beginning of civilization
Where the rich man chooses,
who is inferior
and who is superior

Bleeding feet and aching limbs
became a part of every day life
Punished for having the slightest whims,
and expected to comply

All around the world,
slavery was found.
Used to minimize the efforts of a rich man
Forced to do other's bidding,
without a sound

There were debts that needed paying.
They were taken from their homes.
And had no choice besides staying

It's devastating,
because it's still happening.
Innocent people are being enslaved,
because they are seen as lesser people
They are a 'means to an end'.

A mean to whose end?
The rich man's end.
