The concept of
'White is the superior race',
is tainted
The concept was corrupted from the start
White is (still) correlated with pure,
Pure as gold
Innocent as the first breath of a child
And most of all: privileged
Black is (still) seen as incompetent
As if their intelligence was in liaison,
with the color of their skin
How accurate was their definition of competence?
Perhaps, that's how all of it begins
When you're cut,
do you not bleed red?
Doesn't matter if you're:
black,
white,
yellow,
or orange
Everyone is born the same: human
Humans that have all of the same parts
Same parts and different starts
Different starts and different smarts
And that's what makes life such a beautiful thing
Why racism is such a violent sting
Everyone is their own being
Despite what others may be seeing
