Chapter 1: Meet the Sun

Leiou's POV

"Good Morning, sir." bati sa akin ng mga empleyado ko pagkapasok kong building. I just smiled at them and continue walking.

I don't want this life --- to be a heir and be a CEO of our company, gusto kong maging piloto, I want to fly and visit different places, yet, I am stuck here and I don't have any choice, because, I, Kun Leiou Chasffuer, is the only Chasffuer alive.

"Eve, bring me coffee and my schedule today." sabi ko sa secretary ko nung daanan ko siya. She just nod at pumasok naman ako sa office ko.

Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago umupo sa swivel chair, mahabang araw na naman to para sakin at para sa lahat ng empleyado ko.

Tiningnan ko ang sales namin this month, it's impressive, walang kaduda-duda, magagaling ang mga empleyado ko, of course, di ko naman aangkinin lahat ng paghihirap nila. They work for it too, and sometimes, they even work harder than me.

"Good Morning sir, here's your coffee." sabay lapag ng kape sa mesa ko.

"For your schedule, you have a meeting with Ms. Gomez and her team, 11:00, it'll be regarding to the new designs and by 2:00, I don't know where you are going. But you asked me to cancel everything during that time onward." she explained.

"Okay. Call me if it's already 10:30. You can go now." She just nod and went out, but she didn't know I was staring at her. That girl, she's Eve Siusette Marquez, my secretary, and the girl I like the most.

Di niya alam ang nararamdaman ko para sa kanya at wala rin naman akong planong ipaalam, she's just too good for me, I guess, or maybe, I'm just afraid. Well, professional naman ako sa nararamdaman ko kaya hindi ko hinahayaang maapektuhan nito ang trabaho namin.

I just sigh and go back to work, I don't have time for those kind of stuff.

I was busy checking files, updates and proposal, when I suddenly felt dizzy. Kaya napasandal nalang ako sa upuan at ipinikit ang mata and little did I know, nakatulog na pala ako.

"Sir, sir. Sir, wake up. It's already 10:30 and you still need to prepare for your meeting." Unti-unti kong idinilat ang mata ko, at ang una kong nakita ay ang mga mata ni Eve, her eyes, 'twas pretty but empty, those pair of eyes brings me chills. But of course, I didn't let her feel it.

"Okay. I'll just prepare what I need and we will go there afterwards. Thank you."

Her eyes, why are they empty? Parang wala siyang kahit anong emosyon, walang kahit ano. Ipiniling ko nalang ang ulo ko at tumayo, I should stop thinking about it and prepare what I need.

Pero mukhang hindi ko talaga kayang kalimutan, while I was having meeting with Ms. Gomez and her team, I was checking Eve, again and again. It's making me crazy, why her eyes are soo..

"Sir, are you still with us?" Ms. Gomez asked, na kumuha sa attention ko.

"Yes. Yes. I'm sorry, something just popped up into my mind. Please continue."

Hanggang natapos yung meeting wala talaga akong naintindihan kaya napagdesisyonan ko nalang umuwi, at maghanda para sa pupuntahan ko mamayang alas dos.

"You can go home when you are done with your works. I'll head out now." I didn't wait for her to answer cause I still keep on thinking about her eyes.

Aside from being empty, I think I saw it somewhere, those pair of eyes had been close to me na rin, pero di pa naman siya naging malapit sakin ng ganun.

I just shake it all off and drive home to get some files and after that, dederetso na ako sa House of Angels. It's an orphanage and if you're thinking kung anong gagawin ko dun, may aampunin ako, well, andito na ang files niya sakin at kukunin ko nalang siya ngayon.

I was smiling while driving papunta dun, I'm so excited to take her with me. I don't know, its just that when I first saw her, she really caught my attention, her eyes caught my attention.

Eyes. Owww! I already remember, Eve's eyes resembles her, my princess' eyes.

"Mr. Chasffuer, ready na po si Diana." nakangiting sabi sakin ng head ng orphanage at dinala siya sakin

"I changed her name. From now on you are Khyina Lousselle Chasffuer, do you like your new name princess?" She smiled at me and nod.

"Shall we go home now?" and again she nod and hold my hand, my daughter. I just smiled with the thought tsaka siya isinakay sa sasakyan, she even waved to her friends and seat properly when I started the engine.

" Hmm. Mr. Chasff--"

"Baby, it's daddy, okay? What is it?"

"Daddy, bakit niyo po ako inampon?" She asked me while her eyes are twinkling like a star, unlike Eve's eyes hers is so full of emotion. Baka siguro dahil bata pa si Khyina at marami narin napagdaan sa buhay si Eve.

"Kasi baby naging tradition na ng Chasffuer mag-ampon, dapat sila mommy at daddy ko ang mag-aampon, kaya dapat kapatid ko ang aampunin, but sad to say, they died nung pabalik na sila dito sa Pilipinas. Making me the only Chasffuer alive, at dahil diyan, kailangan na ako yung mag-ampon."

I glanced at her a bit kasi hindi siya sumagot agad, she looks upset.

"Baby, why?"

"Akala ko po kasi inampon niyo ako kasi love niyo ko dahil lang pala sa tradition." Di ko muna siya sinagot dahil pinark ko muna ng maayos ang sasakyan, lumabas at kinuha siya.

"These will be your new house, princess. At syempre, love ka ni daddy. Wala nga kasi sa planong ipagpatuloy yung tradition ng family natin, kaya nag dodonate lang ako sa orphanage, but when I saw you, I wanted to adopt you, yung bigyan ka ng mas maayos na buhay at syempre may pamilya." paliwanag ko sa kanya habang papasok kami ng bahay ko.

"Ibig sabihin po ba nun, may mommy rin ako?" napatingin ako sa anak ko at napakamot sa ulo.

"Eh, baby, baka sa susunod ko na yun mabigay ha? Pwede bang tayo lang muna sa ngayon? Hinahanap ko pa kasi ang magiging mommy mo." she nod again and smile at me. Napacute talagang bata 'to. I have a feelingna I won't regret adopting her.
