SECRETS BEHIND TESSA AND DRACO'S RELATIONSHIP PT. 1
So this was labeled part 1 because I'm a forgetful bitch and will for sure add plenty more parts to this in the future teehee <3 but anyways, let's get started!
1. They made it look like fate and destiny, but they were actually the ones who made Theo and Katie fall in love during their annual Hogwarts reunion. They played Cupid on Cupid himself, and up to this day Theo reminds oblivious to that fact.
2. Tessa has the blood of the dragon, meaning she's extremely fertile — literally one try can get her pregnant. So she takes contraceptives regularly until the day they both decided they were ready for their first child, Scorpius! Draco got really emotional when Tessa opened up to him that she was ready for a baby, because he's been wanting one as well for quite some time but knew that Tessa wasn't ready yet.
3. Not every relationship is perfect, there's bound to be ups and downs. And even Tessa and Draco have their downs. The only difference, however, is their complete trust and love in each other, as well as the fact that they always communicate. It's one of the most important things to a healthy relationship, and it's what avoids arguments.
4. Tessa is truly a terrible cook — that comes without a doubt. Ever since that one day she tried making dinner for her and Draco while he was out in the public library for books on alchemy, she nearly burned down the kitchen. Literally it was on fire, but thank Merlin she's fireproof and also a witch. Ever since then, Draco has trust issues with leaving Tessa alone in the kitchen.
5. When Tessa was pregnant with Scorpius, she kept referring to the fetus as 'he/him' subconsciously. She didn't even realize it until Draco pointed it out, and she thought that was sort of strange. But then she remembered that letter Sirius wrote to Catherine several years ago about how James had been so sure they were having a daughter.
6. A year after Tessa could finally learn how to cast a Patronus charm again, she helped and taught Draco as well. Her Patronus is still a panther, whereas Draco's is a dragon — the very same one Tessa had transformed into during that night. She'd teased him relentlessly on how she'd made a bet with Ron and Harry about his Patronus being a ferret. Let's just say Draco paid a little visit to each of them during their workplace in the Ministry.
7. When her children were of age, Tessa gave Scorpius her engagement ring Narcissa once handed over to Draco. She told Scorpius that when he finds the one he wants to marry, use that ring to propose. For Daisie, Tessa gave her her mother's jade ring.
8. When Tessa and Draco were growing old and their children were working already and had their own families, the two would visit the beach every weekend. The same one he proposed to her years ago. They'd sit close together on a blanket on the sand, just cozied up with each other's comfort and arms as they watched the sunset. And when they'd grown too old to keep visiting the beach, they'd resorted to the balcony while taking turns reading A Tale of Two Cities to each other.
9. Tessa was supposed to be immortal — she was supposed to be able to reach hundreds of years like Sebastian, or even thousands like Cecily. But that day she transformed to a dragon and had died, she gave everything up (her power to open doors, shift to a dragon again, her immortality).
10. When the time came, both Draco and Tessa went together. Like they promised to each other in the Astronomy Tower, they left the world together in their sleep with no pain, no regrets. Hands linked, fingers intertwined, and peaceful smiles because they knew they'll always find a way back to each other again, for they were soulmates — literally — from now until the end.
