"I'm sorry Sakura-san. The tea club that you registered was shut down four years ago... which means you'll need to find another one again. If you need help finding another club, just let me know.", Mr. Tachibana reassured.

"Thank you sir."

When I exited the staffroom office, a deep sigh left my lips reflecting to myself what clubs I should participate now.

"Sakura!" the comforting angelic voice of Mina with Gou walking towards me calmed and blessed my soul!

It's been the past 3 days, I've been ignoring the spiked- hair goofball flirting with me and now I am club- less. During lunchtime at the veranda of the school, Mina and Gou have been suggesting me different types of clubs that I should join with a list of activities I find interest in. Mina is already part of the Ballet club whereas Gou is the manager of the Swimming club. They are so talented in many ways! I envy them...

"Sakura, there must be a club that you can join in. You don't have to be really good at it to join. It is a good experience to take, and it'll be useful for you! For you to be happy!", Gou insisted while munching on her lunch. Honestly, how would I survive these past days of highschool without them!

Their encouragement empowered myself to build up confidence and take one more look at the clubs. "Thanks Gou... I have decided.", the girls were surprised by the instant decision with questioning faces.

"I'm going to join the volley-ball club!!!".

Oh no... My stomach starts to churn and it's definitely not from lunch. I glance down at my registration paper for the volleyball club hesitating whether I should enter or leave.

"Oya Oya Oya?", that voice. It couldn't be... It's impossible.

"Ah! Sakura-chan~ It's a surprise to see you in front of our volleyball court.", He consoled, with a sweat towel wrapped around his neck along with a group of sweaty boys.

"Kuroo-san... Do you k-know this girl?" a guy hesitated while blushing. "She's so cute and pretty..." "She's so hot..." All the whispers were emerging, causing me to become more flushed and shy.

"Ah, my mistake. I thought this was the toilets guess not haha...", I mumbled, slowly trying to drift away from the spotlight. My brain could not even function at all. All I wanted to do was abort out of this awkward vibe. Without notice, Kuroo picks up my registration letter that I must have clumsily dropped.

"I see you want to join the volleyball team huh?" Kuroo raised one of his eyebrow. Before I could respond, Kuroo sends the rest of the boys into the court leaving them into sadness bidding me away.

"Ah who gave you the right to look at my registration?" I questioned as I stand on my tippy toes to reach for the paper.

"Well, I'm the Captain for Nekoma High Volleyball Club.", he grins. "But just to let you know that we don't have a female volleyball club", he states.

"What?!! Today is sure my bad luck with activities", I mumbled whilst slumping.

Kuroo intensively stares at me while I stare down the floor feeling as if there was no hope unless I joined the volleyball club.

"Even though there's no girls volleyball, I guess we can have you as our manager.", it made me instantly rise my head up to face him. "I see that you have some experience with volleyball and being a manager in all girls' middle school. Plus the boys been dying to have a girl manager." he said.

My eyes sparkled with joy in relief to hear that.

"Really?! Yayyy!~" I jumped with joy.

"But that means you'll be stuck with me and the boys for a really long time... Bambi- chan", he whispered into my ear.

"D-d-dont be stupid", I blushed. He just stood there smiling at my noticeable flushed cheeks.

Kuroo took me into the spacious court, and introduced me to the staff teacher, the coach and the boys in the team.

"Thank you for having me! I'll do my best as your manager!", I bowed, to the boys. Each introduced and most were extremely glad that I joined. The boys took off with Kuroo to practice while I had a discussion with the head coach.

"You only just need approval with teachers who are in charge of clubs and you're in." he stated. What?!! I thought I needed approval by Kuroo! He tricked me again! "Kuroo!", the coach interrupts my mind as Kuroo heads towards him.
"I want you to take care of Sakura-san since you're the captain and explain to her tasks she will need to do as a manager."

"Yes sir. This way Sakura- san." I bowed to the coach and followed Kuroo. Hehe the coach reminds me of my grandpa, he's so kind as I smile.

"Here is the changing rooms sorry this is the only place shared with the boys you'll be able to get changed to your sports uniform. Don't put too much stress about it. I'll give you sometime to get changed and meet me outside. Unless... you want me to stay here?" He hinted.

"Thanks. Get out perv.", I send him one of my 'sweet' smile.

He chuckles on his way out of the room.

After getting changed, Kuroo guides me what I need to do and I can tell it's very serious compared to being a manager back in middle school days. I look at the boys throwing and  volleyball spiking across the court.

During break, the boys were famished in need for water. "Good job guys!~", I sweetly say with a natural smile as a sign of encouragement.

"Thanks Sakura- chan! The name's Lev!", he said cheerfully.

"Yeah, thanks for taking helping the team", Nobuyuki replied. "We hope we can get to know you more this year!" Inuoka cuts in.

"Thanks Sakura... I'm Kenma...", he says while taking a drink. "It's nice to meet you Kenma! Keep up with the good work!" I responded.

"Kuroo... How did you even find a girl like her..." Taketora whispers to Kuroo.

"Beats me", Kuroo scoffs as he stares at Sakura in the distance helping the boys.

"But look at her! Her beautiful natural face, her flawless hair tied, her body and her ti-!!" Kuroo stops my hitting him at the back of the head.

"Boys! Stop surrounding her!!! Let's head back in!" Kuroo shouts.

As I sit down to observe the boys, I couldn't stop but look at Kuroo. The way his sweat sparkly glistens onto the light, as I carefully analyse every single move he makes and wise words he advices to the boys. I could see through him as a volleyball captain, he takes his team seriously.

I'll do my best no matter what it takes for me to be the best volleyball manager in Nekoma High!
