Just be mine (kuroo fanfic)

5.

It's been tense for the past days with Summer Training Camp coming up. We all recently finished our exams. I've been organising and discussing with the coach clarifying our court structure and timetable schedule.

Even though it's been a stressful period, I had drifted distance from Kuroo. It's been days since I had friendly interactions with him. I feel pretty upset the way how everything went from the start of our argument. 

While walking with the girls on the way to school, "Sakura-san, can I have a word with you please?", Sousuke said. Whispers were carried throughout the front gates. 

"Omg, its Sousuke Yamazaki from the swimming club!" "He's so hot...", whispers echo around the room. 

I stare at Mina and Gou as they looked pumped and letting me go. 

I nod in response as I slowly followed him to a quiet corner of the school. 

"Go out with me.", I was surprised to hear yet, felt like this was going to happen. 

"I know we had chatted a few times at school. But... I want to get to know you more.", he confessed. "Before I could say anything, just one date, please...", he pleaded. 

A sound of leaves getting was distracting the tension as I see Kuroo with Kenma and his gaming device staring at the scene. I stared at Kuroo who was passing by and he gives me a cold shoulder and looks away like nothing happened. I felt like my heart was shattered.  

It's also been tense between Kuroo and me for a couple of days. We have been keeping our distance with each other ever since that afternoon fight. He's wasn't teasing me like usual as well. This all seems off.

"You're thinking bout him, aren't you?", Gou says. 

"Huh? Who are you talking about?", Gou gives me a facial expression sensing that I know who she's talking about. 

"Okay, okay... you got me." I breathe out. "He's been in my mind for a really long time."

"I'm sorry who?", Mina butts in. 

"Kuroo", Gou whispers to Mina. 

"Whatttt!!! Is it true?! You have feelings for him?!!", Mina gasps as they both wait for my response. 

No way... Am I?

My mind was so off today... Why did I not say anything? I've should've been clear to Sousuke about my feelings. I'm such an idiot...  

"Sakura!! Watch out for the -!!!"

The ball smashes right into my face as I fall right down to the ground. 

"Sakura! Are you alright?"

My eyesight became blurry as I caught a clearer view of Kuroo in front of me with a concerned expression. 

I was shocked as blood was dripping out of my nose onto my hand. I carried the handkerchief to hold pressure as I run away. 

"Kai cover me", as Kuroo runs after Sakura. Kuroo slowly stops to see her cleaning her non-stop dripping nose bleed while she continues to cry from the pain. 

After some time, her bleeding stopped as she notices Kuroo handing her a towel. She didn't accept but walk away but Kuroo didn't know what to say or do anymore at that time. 

He did the same as he did last time and let her disappear right in front of his eyes. Yaku slowly walks up to Kuroo telling him, "Kuroo I don't know what is going on with you and Sakura. Even if you are the captain, Sakura is our manager and she's been putting so much effort into our team. If she ends up getting hurt... you don't know what coming for you. So get your head straight.", as he walks off back into the court.
