"Ehhh Diane-chan?" Makoto called out to the raven-haired female for the millionth time today.
Muttering curses under her breath, Diane looked at the olive-haired male.
"Yes? Do you need anything?" Diane asked in a strained voice, restraining herself from lashing out at the tall male, who chuckled in response.
This happened every time when it came to Diane teaching Makoto about art. Makoto would always need help with something. His responses to her helping were also something too.
For example, last week when Makoto needed help on drawing, he leaned on Diane, placing his chin on her head. The other time he needed her guidance, he cuddled her.
The poor chocolate brown-eyed female couldn't understand the olive-haired male to save her life. Makoto Tachibana was a puzzle wrapped in many layers of enigma, locked into the chest of perplexity, and thrown into the ocean shrouded in mystery.
Yes, Makoto Tachibana is that mysterious.
"A-ah, I was wondering if you could help me with the shading. Could you?" Makoto replied, smiling gently at Diane, who rolled her eyes in return.
"Well, I helped you with everything else, so why not?" Diane answered snarkily, sitting next to Makoto.
While Diane showed Makoto how to shade, Makoto couldn't help but notice how close they were to each other. He just smiled, content with the raven-haired female next to him.
Sure, he was really bad at art and needed help, but he gradually started getting better. This was one of the reasons why he played dumb. He didn't want Diane to be teaching another person that wasn't him.
So that's why Makoto kept asking for help. Makoto knew he was being selfish, but he couldn't help it! He just wanted to stay with Diane!
"Makoto. Makoto? Were you even listening?" Diane's voice dripping with anger called out.
"Hm? Uh, yeah! I-I was listening. S-so I shade here?" Makoto asked, getting out of his dreamlike state, before Diane just stared.
"Makoto, you weren't paying attention. Don't lie, I know you weren't." Diane told Makoto, in the best way she can.
Makoto could only look away in shame before Diane got up.
"I'm done. You're too complicated to deal with. You're basically an annoyance." Diane hissed out at Makoto, who was heartbroken by Diane's words.
Heading towards the front door, the raven-haired female was suddenly hugged from behind.
"Diane-chan! Please don't go, please! I'm really sorry!" Makoto whimpered, burying his head in the back of Diane's shirt.
Instead of pushing Makoto off and running out the door, Diane decided to stand there with Makoto latching onto her. Standing there in silence for what seemed like eternity, Diane sighed.
"Makoto, it's…fine. I forgive you…" She spoke, catching Makoto off guard.
"Really? B-but I pushed my luck…" Makoto fussed, slightly happy as he tightened his embrace.
"It's fine…don't worry about it…" Diane replied, turning around to see Makoto wiping tears from his eyes.
Sighing and feeling guilty for what she said, Diane took Makoto's face in her hands and wiped away his tears.
Smiling gently, Diane softly placed her lips on Makoto's own before pulling back.
"I'll show you how to do the shading again. Come on Makoto-kun." Diane spoke in a soft voice, a small blush on her cheeks while she pulled Makoto back to the table.
Back at the table, Makoto couldn't help but embrace Diane tightly, while giving her pecks on her face, during the art session. He just loved her so much, and he was so ecstatic she felt the same way.
