It's fairly the next day and you've already gone home from school exausted. Memory-drained and the will to move on, gone.

Vin decides to hit you up the second you get in bed.

"You won't believe what happened today!"

This girl's gonna be the death of you. Pressing the phone back against your ear, your first respond is this. "You missed school you dumbhead."

To which she barely gives account to. You can practically envision her rolling her eyes. "My story first. Hanseul wants to get back together."

Oh, hello no. Her kindergarten sweetheart? These two were inseparable since diapers until he decided to impregnate her and then move countries.

Even if he has the looks and all, that son of hades and aphrodite's nothing but a douschbag.

If you weren't exausted before, you were beyond the roof mentally impaled by the news. "You're crazy."

It's silent for a while.

Which is kinda odd. For the first time, Vin's left speechless.

"It's complicated." She sighs."You know. With the baby coming and all."

As her friend, you've come to want what is best for her. Which is to move on and forget about the past. But ever since that fetus started growing inside of her, you've been stuck in a pithole of dilemma.

"He left you when you needed him the most Vin."

"It's fine. You already know me."

That's the thing you're worried the most. There's just something Vin isn't telling you. You've sensed it. So what she said isn't a hundred percent true.

As you lay back in bed, hair splayed across the pillow, you sigh. "Now can you tell me why you missed school today?"

"Oh right! I thought I felt my first contraction this morning so my mom had to bring me to the hospital."

And to think you'd be wailing in agony right now.

It makes you blink. "You still have two months to go."

"I know. Which is why I'm in bed rest until further notice."

Zero enthusiasm. "Hurray for you."

Vin laughs through the phone before gasping like she's remembered something. "By the way. Are you free tonight? Mind coming over?"

"Is that a hint of desperation I hear?" You tease. Vin whines through the phone call right after.

"I'm serious, Y/n~ Bring me some chicken nuggets on your way here. And also that delicacy your brother makes."

At the very mention of Vin's request of that specific delicacy, your nose scrunches with disgust.

"That blood stew. Tell him to add more spices."

She makes it sound even more gross than what's absolutely necessary.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll tell him."

"Yes! Oh! Don't forget to bring extra clothes too. You're staying over tonight."

Wait. Hold your horses pregnant lady.
Who's staying where?

"See you soon! Love ya!"

You choke on your own protest when Vin ends the call. This is inhumane. Ever since you found her vomiting like crazy one fine afternoon five months ago, she's made you her bodyguard twenty-four seven.

Not that you're complaining or anything. Or maybe you are.

And what's the next thing you do rather than rest. Get up, salvage your drawer for clean clothes and hopefully find Hoseok still in his room.

Much to your luck, he's in bed reading with glasses on. The black backpack's the first thing he sees.

Glasses hanging in the tip of his nose, Hoseok questions your guilty penguin-like grin.

"Where are you going?"

"Hospital. Vin wants me to stay over and keep her company."

Hoseok stares at you for a full minute before you decide to add. "She wants you to make her that pig blood thingy stew."

Need you say no more, Hoseok throws the book aside and makes his way to the kitchen.

There ladies and gentleman, is husband material at its finest.

Hoseok gets to work, rolls up his dark sleeves and opens up the fridge.

The sight of red makes you wanna vomit your breakfast out. Which is the main reason why the container filled with pig blood is covered in tin foil. To prevent unwanted accidents happening.

"Which hospital is Vin at?"

"Geomdan Yonsei Hospital."

An hour and a half away from where you live. Which is why the sooner Hoseok finishes, the sooner you can catch the bus and deliver Vin's request.

For the next twenty minutes, you watch Hoseok work his magic until it's all over.

"Here you go." Hoseok ruffles your hair after handing you the bag with the container inside. "Say hi to Vin for me."

"Thanks." Sighing, you grab the bag along with your backpack and stride for the door.
