Chapter 6

Dipper's POV

I drove through the forest. My heart was pounding, I'm really worried for my sister. My tail was swishing frantically.

Then suddenly I heard a scream. That sounded like Mabel! I drove quickly using my enhanced hearing to find Mabel.

After a few minutes I entered a cave to see Mabel tied up and surrounded by.... Gnomes?

"Dipper! Norman turned out to be a bunch of gnomes! And their leader, Jeff, wants to make me queen!"

Oh, so they were gnomes! I thought I was hallucinating.

I would've inspected the gnomes if they weren't attacking my sister. I told Mabel to get in the cart and we drove off, thinking the gnomes can't catch us.

"Why did you save me?" Mabel asked confused, knowing she didn't treat me well at all. So there was no reason to save her.

"You're my sister, why wouldn't I save you?" She just continued looking at me confusedly. I quickly take out thr journal and skim through it finding th page about gnomes.

I quickly read it and found out that the author hadn't recorded any weaknesses. I closed the book and continued driving.

"Wait, the things in that book are actually real?"

"That'll be a story for another time," I cut her off, "Right now we've got something more important to deal with,"

We looked behind to see that the gnomes fused and turned into a large gnome monster. knocking down everything in it's path, chasing after our golf cart.

"Faster, Faster!" Mabel screamed. The giant started throwing some of the gnomes.

Some were on the hood and munching on the cloth. Mabel had to punch one behind us. One got onto my tail but I whacked them into the trunk. Another had gotten to my face but Mabel punched it away, sadly taking my hat with it.

It threw a tree  that almost hit us but luckily we were able to dodge which just sent us falling near the shack.

We scrambled out of the cart and I
grabbed a nearby shovel and threw it onto the giant, who just punched it down.

We both just stared in shock, then screamed. "Oh, we're so screwed." I was panicking.

"It's the end! Mabel, marry us or someone might get hurt," Jeff shouted down at us.

"There's gotta be a way to stop them!" I try taking out the journal. Only to be stopped by Mabel.

"No, I need to do it." Was she insane, marrying a bunch of gnomes that tried to kidnap her?! Even I have higher standards than that!

"Mabel, are you crazy?! Don't do it!"
I tried reasoning with her.

"Dipper, trust me,"

"What-"

"Just this once, trust me," She looked at me then back at the gnomes, before taking a deep breath. "Alright Jeff, I'll marry you."

Jeff's face clearly brightens. He climbs down the gnome giant, runs over to Mabel, then takes out a wedding ring.

Mabel extends her hand as Jeff places the ring on her.

"Now let's get you back to the forest, honey!" He exclaims happily.

"You may now kiss the bride" She states. Looking suggestively at Jeff.

"Well, don't mind if I do!" Extending his lips waiting for Mabel. Then Mabel takes a conveniently placed leaf blower and aims it into Jeff's face.

She cranks it up as Jeff gets sucked into the blower. "That's for lying to me!"

"That's for breaking my heart!" She cranks it higher.

"And this is for messing with my brother!" She looks at me,
"Wanna do the honors?"

I look back at her, "On the count of three."

"One, two, three!" We say together then fling Jeff back into the forest.

We decided to also blow away all the other remaining gnomes back to the forest.

We decided to head back into the shack until Mabel stopped me.

"Hey, uh Dipper, I'm sorry for ignoring you're warnings.. You really were just looking out for me.." She looked down at the ground apologetically.

"You saved us out there, what are you sorry about!" I chuckled awkwardly. It's kinda shocking sering Mabel apologising, but why should I complaining? This is great.

"Guess I'm just upset that my first boyfriend turns out to be a bunch of gnomes.."

"Don't worry about it, maybe you're next boyfriend will be a vampire!" I try encouraging her.

I've always wanted to try this, I should give it a shot. "....Awkward sibling hug...?"

Mabel brightened up, "Awkward sibling hug," We hugged each other then..

"Pat, pat"

We let go of each other, "Let's go back inside?" I ask tiredly in which she nodded.

We passed Grunkle Stan who was counting his cash.

"You two get hit by a bus or something?" He looked at us jokingly but we both ignored him

"Uh, Hey! I opened stock from the inventory, so why don't you take both take one thing each?" He offered to us, seeing as we were both tired.

"What's the catch?" I asked suspiciously.

"The catch is do it before I change my mind." He says as he stores his cash.

I went over to the shelves and saw Mabel go to some boxes. I found a cool looking blue pinetree hat.

I tried it on and it just clicked like a puzzle piece. I decided to keep it. I look over at Mabel and see her find..

"Grappling hook!" She exclaimed, taking out a grappling hook out of the box. We just let her have it and decide to go upstairs to the attic and finally rest.

I decided to lay in bed and take a nap.
