"Oh this is so exciting, we're spending a whole month here in San Francisco!" cried Daphne excitedly. "Like man after that little trip to Egypt, like I never want to see another pyramid or mummy ever again." said Shaggy leaning back in his seat. "For once I think we all agree with you, Shag." said Starchild. "I'm certainly not complaining. I never want to see sand again for as long as I live." said Catman. The Mystery Machine then took a sudden sharp turn making everyone almost fall out of their seats. "Hey, what gives, Fred?" asked Spaceman rubbing his head. "Sorry everyone, looks like some people here don't know how to stay on their side of the road or obey the speed limit for that matter." said Fred. "What I want to know is who in their right mind like gives a total nut case like that a driver's license!" cried Shaggy. "You can say that again." said Starchild. "Everyone alright?" asked Daphne. "Other than a bit jostled, I think its safe to say we're alright." said Spaceman. "I say we get out a walk around. Sounds a lot safer than being on the road." said Demon. "I, for one, second that notion." said Cleo crossing her arms. "If it means we get to stay in one piece, count me in." said Catman. "If everyone else is in agreement, we could always look for someplace to grab a bite to eat." said Fred. "Food!?" asked Shaggy and Scooby in union leaning over the driver's seat. "I'll take that as a definite 'yes'." said Velma as Daphne began to laugh at Shaggy and Scooby's reaction to getting something to eat. "I believe I saw a sign for a fast food join a ways back." said Cleo. "Sounds good to me." said Demon. "As long as we head inside instead of taking the drive-thru window." said Catman. "And as long as Shaggy and Scooby don't order one of everything off the menu." said Starchild. "Very funny. Very funny!" warned Shaggy. "Reah, very runny!" replied Scooby. "He's not wrong, you two." said Cleo crossing her arms. "Whose side are you on anyway?" asked Shaggy. "Not yours apparently." said Fred as he turned the Mystery Machine around. "Some friend she is, eh Scoob?" asked Shaggy. "Rou raid it!" replied Scooby.
Not long after, the Mystery Machine had pulled into a burger place by the name of "Beefy Burger". "Oh boy, hamburgers!" cried Shaggy as he and Scooby bounced up and down excitedly. "Cool it you two, Fred still has to park the van." said Velma. "You've got to be kidding me!" said Fred. "Everything alright, Fred?" asked Spaceman. "No, the car that nearly drove us off the road is here!" said Fred. "Are you sure?" asked Cleo. "Positive. And I plan on giving the owner a piece of my mind for almost wrecking my van." said Fred. "Let it go, Fred, tonight isn't about that, remember?" asked Velma. "Fine...." said Fred slouching in his seat slightly. Cleo cocked an eyebrow. Her friends were up to something. She just knew it. "Come on, we'll head in while Fred finds a place to park." said Starchild. "Fine by me, I'm dying to stretch my legs." said Demon. "Ditto." said Catman. Soon after, everyone besides Fred got out of the van and made their way towards the building. "You sure it's safe for you guys to go inside without covering up?" asked Daphne. "Relax, Daphne, how bad can it be?" asked Catman as Shaggy opened the doors. "Like, yips!" "You were saying, Catman?" asked Cleo as practically everyone inside began crowding around them snapping pictures. "Alright, I stand corrected. Hit me later." said Catman as a few people began asking for autographs. "So, anyone want to try and risk sneaking by and saving us a table?" asked Daphne. "I suppose I'll do it." said Cleo pretending to go out the door but was really going around the large group of people. Cleo smirked when she saw nobody had noticed her and walked inside looking for a table for everyone. To Cleo's surprise, there was one group of people who didn't swarm her and her friends. There were three men, one woman and a boy. Cleo shrugged it off though. Perhaps they just weren't into mysteries or rock and roll. Cleo didn't really want to sit near them though just in case. That last thing she wanted was for any of her friends to have any unnecessary attention then they'd already been given. So Cleo chose a spot next to a couple of arcade games she had no doubt either Shaggy and Scooby or Fred would attempt to play until their food arrived. Cleo sat down with a sigh of relief. Hopefully as soon as everyone was done asking for autographs and pictures they could eat in peace. She could just imagine Shaggy and Scooby desperately trying to look over the crowd in hopes of getting a glimpse at the food. Cleo couldn't help but laugh quietly to herself on that thought. Across the room, Cleo couldn't shake the feeling someone was watching her. She quickly looked over t the group that was still sitting and saw one of them was looking right at her. Cleo cocked an eyebrow at the man from across the room as if asking him if there was a problem or not. The man seemed to look away quickly. There was something familiar about him but Cleo deemed it wise to keep her mouth shut for the time being. After all, the gang finally broke free from the crowd and made their way over to her. "Thanks for grabbing us a couple tables, Cleo." said Daphne as everyone sat down. "It was no trouble." said Cleo with a smile deciding to forget about the man that was staring at her a moment ago. "Yeah, but now we can get to the good part. Ordering the food!" said Shaggy. "Roh boy!" said Scooby wagging his tail happily.
