Cleo awoke with a soft groan as she sat up rubbing her head. "Let me guess, your mom came to you instead." said Demon who was standing next to Cleo with crossed arms. "You could say that, yes." said Cleo. "Your brother's still out cold by the way and the sand storm is still raging." said Demon. "Well, mother DID say that the little boy wanted proof and she gave it to him." said Cleo. "Somehow the others and I had a feeling that was the case." said Demon. "Is it my imagination or are we back in the museum?" asked Cleo cocking a brow. "Yes, yes we are and Shaggy and Scooby haven't stopped begging to leave since we got back. Fred told them we'd leave as soon as you regained consciousness and the storm let up." said Demon. "Oh it may take a while before Mother is satisfied." said Cleo. "No kiddin." said Demon blandly. Soon after, Demon and Cleo joined the rest of the gang. "Cleo, your finally up!" said Daphne. "What happened?" said Velma. "Mother got in contact with me instead." said Cleo. "That explains it." said Catman. "Well, we're just glad your alright." said Daphne. "Yeah, and like now let's move it! The weather's cleared up!" cried Shaggy as he and Scooby ran into the room. "How do you two even..." began Spaceman but was cut off by Shaggy and Scooby pushing everyone out the door. "Hey, cool it you two! You're going to wear out the soles of our shoes!" yelled Catman.

A week later....

Cleo was walking down the streets of San Francisco. She couldn't find the gang anywhere nor could she find the Mystery Machine. It was odd, her friends had been acting strange all day yesterday. Even Demon was acting strange. Well, not that he hadn't been acting strange when he eventually told her that they were soulmates due to their powers being connected with one another. As Cleo was approaching the crosswalk, she had to refrain from screaming as the long blue, red, an gold vehicle stopped in front of her. "Actually stopping and letting someone cross the street? I'm almost shocked." said Cleo crossing her arms. "Uh, hey, Cleo, want a ride?" asked the boy. "I'll manage on my own, thank you." said Cleo walking past the vehicle briskly. "Cleo, wait!" yelled the boy. Cleo stopped and had to refrain from rolling her eyes before turning with her hands on her hips and cocking a brow. "We're sorry, OK? Rath told us everything." said the boy. "Oh? So it took a visit from Mother to actually get the fact through that mummified head of yours that I wasn't lying!?" questioned Cleo angrily. "I guess we deserved that." said Armon. "I should turn every last one of you into stone for not only insulting me but my mother as well!" said Cleo. "We really are sorry for doubting you, Cleo. It's just that are duty is to protect Rapses at all costs. And when we saw you and your friends, well, we feared for our prince." said Nefertina. Cleo practically growled and turned her heel before storming off. Cleo didn't get very far though because someone grabbed her wrist and Cleo immediately felt her hip burn. "Let go!" yelled Cleo yanking her arm free and grabbing her hip. Once the burning went down slightly, Cleo spun and glared at her older brother. "What do you want, Rath, just say it so we both may get on with our lives because it is clear to me that you don't care." said Cleo bitterly. "That's not true!" retorted Rath. "Spare me your pitiful lies, Rath, I know your only doing this because Mother asked you to." said Cleo sadly. "Did it ever occur to you I'm doing this because I WANT to?" asked Rath. "Oh? So now suddenly you WANT to be apart of my life!? WHY!?" questioned Cleo clenching her fists. "Because my duty already cost me one person I loved and I don't want to lose another. Especially when that person is my sister." said Rath. "Sorry to hear about that." said Cleo. It wasn't like she didn't mean it because she did. It seemed everyone in her family besides her had trouble when it came to finding love. Even she didn't think she'd end up falling in love ever again herself. The first time she ever met Demon she wanted to skin him alive and now two years later they were married and had a child on the way. "I....appreciate you actually trying to make amends for your wrong doings and the wrong doings of your friends." said Cleo after a while of standing there in silence. "The only thing I ask is for a second chance, Cleo." said Rath. Cleo was silent for a moment before heaving a sigh. "Alright, Rath, I'll give you a second chance but only because of the silent promise I made to our mother." said Cleo finally. A smile seemed to cross her older brother's face as he reached to embrace her. "You really wish to embrace me when I've been experiencing how do you say....morning sickness?" asked Cleo crossing her arms. "Erm...sorry." said Rath taking a step back. "It's fine. Now if you don't mind, I'm actually trying to find my friends." said Cleo cocking a brow. "We could give you a ride see if we could find your friends." said Rath. "I've seen the way that vehicle of yours is driven, Rath. Seeing as though my friends have almost been run over on more than one occasion, I think I'll walk." said Cleo. "When it comes to Nertina's driving I honestly can't blame you." said Rath crossing his arms. "Well, I best be on my way. But who knows, perhaps one day you and your friends can join the rest the gang and I on a mystery of your own." said Cleo. "Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to see this 'Mystery solving' you and your friends are so well known for first hand." said Rath. Cleo let a small smile cross her face before turning her heel. "And Cleo?" "Yes?" asked Cleo turning around. "Happy Birthday." said Rath with a slight smirk before turning and going back the way he came. Normally Cleo hated her birthday. But for some reason, this one made a smile cross her face. She was so lost in thought, she didn't realize her phone was going off until the last minute. "Dare I ask where you and the others are?" asked Cleo placing her phone to her ear. "Like just grabbing a bite to eat at Beefy Burger, man. Like sorry we didn't tell you. Mr. Demon figured you'd want to rest with like the morning sickness and all." said Shaggy. Cleo spotted something out of the corner of her eye and saw that it was a colorful bag. "Beefy Burger this early in the morning?" asked Cleo cocking a brow as she went over to the bag and felt around inside. "Come on, Cleo, like how like have you known Scoob and me?" asked Shaggy as Cleo felt something soft inside the bag and felt a tear roll down her face at what was inside.

It didn't take long for Cleo to realize who the gift was from or WHO it was for either. Placing the stuffed toy back in the bag, Cleo then placed her hand on her stomach with a teary smile. "Like, Cleo, you still there?" asked Shaggy from the other end of the line. "Shaggy, where are you really?" asked Cleo. "Like I told you, Beefy Burger!" said Shaggy sounding almost nervous. "Oh, never mind, I'll text someone for the real address. Oh and Shaggy?" said Cleo. "Like yeah?" asked Shaggy. "Try to refrain from eating the Birthday Cake until I get there." said Cleo with a smile. "HUH!? Like your not mad!?" cried Shaggy. "I knew who all were up to something the moment we got here." said Cleo with a smirk. "OK, like who are you and what have you done with the real Cleo!?" asked Shaggy. "I'm still me, Shaggy, let's just say, this vacation was just the thing I needed to change my perspective when it came to my birthday." said Cleo picking up the bag. "Dude, seriously, like is the baby messing with your head or something!?" asked Shaggy. "No, but someone got through without even trying." said Cleo starting down the street still on the phone with Shaggy. He may be as stubborn and prideful as Adelram, but deep down Cleo had a feeling that Rath wouldn't be as bad as she first imagined. For once, she actually had a brother who accepted her for who she was besides her friends. Maybe this newfound family of hers wouldn't be as bad as she thought after all.
